Playing in the nursery

Blackkit had been sitting in the nursery all day bored. It had been to cold to go out, and she was getting anxious to do something other than lay here like the snow.

Twistedkit sat in the back of the den, pawing at a tiny ball of moss with his left paw. He was still a little kit, not very old and had yet to talk much, but that was mostly due to his shyness. His blue, somewhat teal, gaze lifted to where Blackkit was sitting. He paused for a quick moment before with some effort to hook the mossy ball on a claw on his good foot before he flung it toward Blackkit.

He flinched when the ball of moss missed where he was going for. He had been hoping to hit the ground next to Blackkit, but instead he bounced the ball off the back of the she-cats head. Quickly getting to his paws, he limped toward the she-cat, his twisted paw thumping on the ground. "Sorry!" he squeaked once he reached her and scooped up the ball of moss.

Blackkit felt the moss ball hit her head and turned her head just in time to see twistedkit grab it "that's fine" she said streaching a bit and sat up "do you want to play, it's getting borrning sitting in here" she asked.

Twistedkit froze, his eyes widening. One of the oldest kits wanted to play with him? He nodded quickly before throwing the ball toward her, before limping off a good distance away before turning back to the she-cat so that she could throw it back to him. His tail lashed as his eyes locked on his little green, round target.

Blackkit purred, she then grabbed the ball with her claw and flung it towards twistedkit but flew over his head a bit. "Sorry" she said quickly.

Twistedkit watched as the ball flew over him, but quickly turned and limped after it as fast as he could, which was pretty fast. Hooking the moss on his left paw, he threw it back, and this time it went near where he wanted, almost straight into the older kit's paws. His fur fluffed up in pride. He was pretty good at the game if he said so himself.

Blackkit purred at the other kits ability, "you know your going to make an awesome moss flinger" she said as she threw the ball again and landed it in front of him

Twistedkit just smiled at Blackkit. "Thank you," he said quietly, but loud enough for the she-cat to hear before returning the ball to her.

"It's a lot of fun to have another kit in here otherwise it's extremely borning" she said throwing it to the left of him.

Twistedkit just nodded as if he really knew what it was like. After all, Blackkit had been in the nursery longer them him so he had always had her to talk to if he was bored. As the ball went flying toward him, he some-what jumped to the left and caught it, quickly returning it with a small laugh. He had never had this much fun, even thought his father visited him almost every day.

Blackkit pawed at the ball then instead of throwing it she rolled the moss ball

Twistedkit blinked as the ball came rolling to his paws. His tail swished back and forth as he grabbed ahold of it with his good paw, and rolled it back toward his denmate.

"I can't wait to be an apprentice cause then I could train to be the best warrior in the forest maybe even hunter, the prey would be terrified of me, they would alway be looking behind them to make sure I'm not stalking them, then I would attack them" she said stalking the moss ball.
