Lyrical Stuffs

Hello thar. So, I'm a lyric writer (or I like to think I am), and for awhile I've been kicking around different titles for songs based on the Warriors series, but they were only that: titles. So now I'm just pushing myself to add words to said titles, and... that'll be around here. XD So, here's what it all means, I guess: There's an album name, a band name (no reason for it: I just like going all out on stuff no one cares about), and a track listing. With a hyphen segmenting each track, there will be a topic (for most songs anyway). Most of the songs are about someone or something in the books. So it looks like:

Yeah, like that. So, I'm just going to start it with the first tracklisting and the first lyrics I wrote for it. Any and all comments and criticisms are welcomed, just try to not be a jerk about it. XD Instead of saying "you suck," try "you suck, and here's why..." Anyway, let's start before I chicken out (and yes, I will be writing lyrics for every song eventually).

#1: In Your Honor

Who is Scars Still Remain about? And who is Sing to the Stars about? Other than that, pretty good! :)

I said that most songs have to do with someone or something. Those two happen to not be about any cat in particular, although Scars Still Remain has a bit of inspiration from a battle in Bluestar's Prophecy. Anyway, time for song the second!

#2: Something Beautiful

I make a lie, I force a smile, but I’m coming apart at the seams

The same guy that you so despised; I guess to me you truly lied

But when you would return to him, I was the one who came unglued

#3: I am War

I will give you a chance to beg and plead

Everything you’ve ever loved will be stolen away
The boundaries surrounding us will be further decayed
Until all of the forest has come under my rule
Resistors die; I thought you knew I was cruel

Swallowed in fear, the trees run red with blood
You will never resurface from the war-drenched flood
Even the young ones fight at my beck and call
You may kill one child, but you will never kill us all
I am the one that you fear when your eyes scan the night
My warriors wreak havoc, paralyzing you with fright
And when you see the stars multiply in the dark

The moors are quiet now; there’s no wind on the breeze
The land that once belonged to cowards now belongs to me
Your misplaced sense of justice is laughable indeed
Just stand in line: I’ll get to you eventually
The way you stick up for the weak makes me truly sick
But I’m not unreasonable; I’ll let you die real quick

I am war; the shadows are all surrounding me

Alright, time for more lyrics. This needs some backstory, since it doesn't truly link to anything in the books (although it has loose inspiration from a battle in Bluestar's Prophecy). The fill-in-the-blank backstory is of a leader who wages a battle with another clan to cover up a lie he made, and in the process he loses a cat he cares deeply for. Oh, and if you're reading this (that means you, non-existant person), you should totally post and say things, like if you like it, didn't like it, or... something! Then I won't have to double (triple) post and I can know that you did indeed see it. :3 Alright, so anyway, let's just throw this one out there.

#4: Scars Still Remain
