Fallenkit's New Discovery

The ball soared and hit Nightwing in the face, She just laughed and picked it up. "Nice throw!" She called to the kit. Nightwing bopped the ball up in the air with her nose and hit the ball mid air with her paw, causing it to go flying next to Fallenkit.

Fallenkit opened her mouth to apologize as the broken moss hit the warrior in the face, before it was bouncing back to her. She purred as she snatched the moss into her mouth, then threw it back with her fore paw, a little softer this time.

Nightwing caught it tossed it around, from hitting it in the air with her paws to hitting it in the aair with her head. She then pawed it to Fallenkit. Nightwing shifted her paws to the sitting potion. and watched the ball tumble to the kit.

Fallenkit giggled in excitement as the moss tumbled, landing between her fore paws. She nudged it with her nose, eying the broken moss ball with her sea-foam orbs. She looked at the expectant warrior awaiting her toss, before noticing a small green blubbery creature beside Nightwing. With the moss ball snagged onto her claws, she bounced toward Nightwing, forgetting their game as she ran past her to look at the prey-like thing on the ground.

"What is it?" she asked

Nightwing blinked then laughed. "That is what we call a frog." She poked it with her paw. "We eat them to survive." She opened it up with a swift cut of her ivory claw. ''Would you like a small piece?" Nightwing asked. Cutting out a small section of muscle from it's shoulder.

Fallenkit slowly approached the prey, glancing at it before looking up to the Warrior. She saw Nightwing's smile as encouragement, and hesitantly took a bite of the 'frog'. It was....slimy and chewy. She chewed the skin, tasting the unique flavor that was not portrayed by it's appearance. Her tiny fangs struggled to chop the food enough to swallow, smiling all the way.

"Do you like it?" Nightwing asked. She took a bite of the frog, the taste was delicious."When you are an apprentice, you will learn to catch these!" She cut out another piece for Fallenkit if she wanted one.

Fallenkit's eyes brightened at the prospect of hunting, she would catch these slippery things? She smiled before quickly gobbling up the piece of frog Nightwing had cut for her. Once she was finished she licked her muzzle. "It's yummy, Nightwing!" The kitten paused, "When do I 'come an apprentice?" she asked meekly.

Nightwing smiled. "When you are six moons old." She nodded. "Then Sagestar will pick your mentor." Nightwing smiled. If Sagestar did pic a mentor, Nightwing hoped it was a good one.

Fallenkit cocked her head to the side, before puffing her chest with confidence. "I want to be a warrior just like you then!" She said, wrapping her tiny paws around Nightwing's tail.

Nightwing smiled and moved her tail around, in imitaion of prey. "If you want to be a warrior, you have to be tough. " She winked

Fallenkit faltered as Nightwing's tail moved,"O-Of course," she stuttered out. "I could beat a badger all by myself!" she said, pouncing of the warrior's moving tail.

Nightwing licked the kit's head. "Sure you can." She agreed. The tail moved to the other side of Nightwing and twitched, taunting the kit.

Fallenkit bared her tiny fangs at Nightwing's challenge, running around her to reach her prey. The tiny kit reached for Nightwing's tail, seeing that it was in the range of her paws.

Nightwing laughed and it moved away."Fallenkit, don't eat too much, you will get a belly ache." She reached for the frog and cut a piece out. "But if you are still hungry, you can have it." She held out her paw for the kit to take the meat.
