OOC: WHAT?! It was the 27th yesterday!

I also know it's like morning and I should wait to make this until night, but unfortunately you're all too lazy and inactive to be all on from 7:30 to midnight.

IC:

Sleepy again pushed through the creaky doors of the questionably stable wooden mansion. In another time it might have been able to host a very different WCC party. Perhaps Sleepy could have picked a normal mansion and just decorated it with fake cobwebs and rubber spiders. But no, big scary no-doubt-filled-with-unimaginable-horror house it is. After all, starting from last year, this was the tradition it seemed.

Sleepy himself, being the crappy unlit house on the lively street on Halloween that he is, had come as absolutely no one important. That is to say, he came as himself, with a headband with gray cat ears prominently sticking from his head. A triangular nose and whiskers were now printed onto his face with permanent marker. The equally adorable murderous fire in his twitching eyes gave someone a very clear indication that he was not a pwetty wittle kitty-witty and in fact a gigantic sociopath wrapped up in a tiny body with cat ears on his head and no doubt a weapon concealed in his clothes somewhere. And he was one of your lovely hosts for this year's Halloween Party.

Everything had been set up by 7:30. Sleepy was very well aware that people might either chicken out or sit in a corner because they have the social skills of a nervous badger and the thought made him look at all the carefully placed decorations. Of course, the carefully placed decorations had been pretty much undisturbed since last year by a much more competent decoration placer. Sleepy's decorations included a disturbing amount of authentic looking skeletons, all with skimpy looking clothing attached. The mansion itself was huge, starting from a tiny lobby into a big living room where the main part-ay-ay was supposed to be going on. In the living room a table had been set up with lots of kid-friendly snacks and drinks t.

He mindlessly pushed furniture into place to make himself look busy and looked at the watch on his wrist. Of course, Sleepy being the style-over-practicality person that he is, the watch used Chinese numbers and he had no idea if it worked the same as a normal watch that someone right here in the English speaking world would use.

"When do you think they will get here?" he called out to Jay and Rain, WHO WERE DEFINITELY THERE WITH THEM AND WHO WILL POST NO REALLY THEY'LL DO IT RIGHT NOW. The way he said "they" was the way someone might say "nazi communists curb stomping puppies and discoloring rainbows in occupied raped Belgium."

In the kitchen stocking food, Rain glanced at the clock on the microwave. The girl shrugged, even though she knew Sleepy nor Jay could see her at the moment.
"They should be arriving any minute now!" she called back to Sleepy.

Nervously, Rain put a couple more of the large soda bottles into the refrigerator before closing it again. The house scared her a little, but not enough to the point of her letting it show. She was actually rather fascinated by it, and, as usual, her imagination was running away with her. The girl could see what it looked like at the height of its existence.

Coming back to earth, Rain glanced about the large room. Chips, candies, drinks, and utensils had been ordered perfectly for easy retrieval should they need it. After brushing off her hands, the teenager exited the room. She made her way down a long hallway and turned into the living room, where Sleepy was mindlessly moving things.

"We gave them the time," she said. "I'm sure they'll show up."

IC: Sleepy nodded and looked back at the door. An involuntary shiver ran down his spine when he looked back and around the lobby. Perhaps there was some evil lurking here that was best left undisturbed. Maybe it was the fact that it was a windy dark night, they were in a poorly insulated abandoned wooden mansion with no heating and Sleepy was in nothing but a generic skater-douchebag-esque t-shirt, basketball shorts, and cat ears. Maybe it was just Sleepy's imagination and he should stop dwelling on such things.

Sleepy headed over to a dusty ancient contraption, possibly old as the mansion itself. It must have been some kind of evil magic casting tool used in the Dark Ages that found its way here in the former owner's collection. Sleepy gently blew the dust away and some letters revealed themselves to him.

"COMAPCT CASSETTE PLAYER" was emblazoned on the gray mettalic box. Two speakers could clearly be seen on each side of its rectangular body.

"What on Earth is a cassette?" Sleepy breathed, banging on the obsolete music player and smacking the play button with his palm. An all-to-familiar beat started to play, but the pitch wavered demonically from too low to too high.

"Load up the guns and bring your friiiiiiiiieeeeeeee--"

A terrifying crinkling noise suddenly sounded and black tape spewed from the mouth of the boombox. Sleepy immediately performed a startling and rather impressive crane kick, sending it crashing onto the floor. Sleepy regained his dignity and quickly tossed the piece of equipment into a nearby garbage can.

Rain sat on the arm of a couch and fell backwards so that she lay across the cushions with her feet on the arm. Her hands were folded across her chest, and she hummed to herself.

However, she was not paying attention to Sleepy, and the sudden crash made her jump into a sitting position and cry out. Rain looked over in time to see the younger boy throw whatever it was into a garbage can. Her eyes wide, she demanded, "What was that?!"

Ember came in. "Hey Everyone! I brought Cake Pops!" she said, setting a tray of Cat-Themed cake pops on the table. She then did a Cart-Wheel only to find herself crashing into Jay. "Oops!" she said. "Sorry Jay." she grumbled.

Afterwards, Ember found a cozy cushion on the floor and she plopped down on it. "So, what's up?" she asked.

"It was obviously a tool of Satan." Sleepy answered before the door opened, looking at Ember as she entered. Before Sleepy could say 'what in the name of the all heavenly name of douglas adams is a cake pop", she crashed into Jay and put the tray down to let Sleepy see them in all of its holiness. He didn't bother responding, his eyes glued on the cat-themed sweets.

OoC: I sincerely hope you're not serious about the cake pops.


Rain watched as Ember flounced in and sat on a cushion.
"Hello," she greeted brightly.

Flamey knocked on the door, unsure of the protocol for a Halloween party. She fixed her vampire cape awkwardly.

As the nazi communists curb stomping puppies and discoloring rainbows in occupied raped Belgium--, or.....guests arrived, Jay greeted them with a smile, and a painful one. Nevertheless, he tried to keep optimistic and he believed it was possible for this party to be half decent.
That was, until a random guest crashed into him with a terribly controlled spontaneous gymnastic routine.
Don't worry Jay. Everything is fiiiiiine~ The encouraging little voice in his head told him over and over again. He grimly shook his head at Ember. "No, no, it's alright." he murmured, sipping the soda he had placed on the table a few seconds before the accident.

Hearing a knock at the door, Rain swung her legs around to the floor and stood up. She adjusted the scarf about her neck as she walked into the main foyer. She turned the doorknob and opened the door with a smile.
"Good evening, madame," she greeted with an English accent.

And suddenly May quietly cartwheeled in past Rani, sporting pigtails and a spiked dog collar. She wore a white labcoat and a black shirt and black jeans, as well as a studded black belt. She ended up on her feet behind Sleepy, grinning wildly, her latex-gloved-hands in a clawing-sorta position. She then jumped on Sleepy. "BOO!"

Flamey giggled. "Hey Rain."

Mechanically failing cassette tape players: scary.

Cartwheeling eleven year olds in fetishistic Halloween bondage costumes: not.

Sleepy surpressed a growl from rumbling in his throat and a dark expression clouded his face, contorted by pure misanthropic hate.

This quickly transformed into a wavery smile, barely containing what lied underneath.

"...wazzup?" Sleepy greeted, his voice strained by his efforts.

May laughed. "Hai." She got up, and walked over to a sofa next to the one Rain was on. She sat down, and brushed off her pants.
