Feathersong sat by the warrior den.

Scarletkit dashed out of the nursery and snuck uP on feathersong's tail.

Feathersong turned her head and saw Scarletkit as she let out a purr of amusement. "Hi," she meowed.

At that moment, Gingerkit padded out of the nursery and towards Scarletkit and Feathersong. She couldn't sleep, and hearing the sounds from outside, she wanted to know what was going on. "Hey Scarletkit! Hello Feathersong!" She squeaked as she bounded towards the two.

"Hi, Gingerkit," Feathersong greeted the kit with a purr. "Couldn't sleep?"

Scarletkit flicked her tail in greeting then asked again"was I lumbering like a badger again?"

"Of course not," Feathersong meowed. "I could just smell you!"

Gingerkit shook her head. "No, I couldn't." Just then, a jolt of energy shot through her as she started to bounce around, hoping to be able to play with someone or something. "Hey Feathersong, could you teach me some of your battle moves?" She asked, thinking of nothing better to do. "You could teach Scarletkit too!"

Feathersong let out a purr. "Unfortunatly, you have to wait 'till you're apprentices. Maybe then I can teach you some moves, since it won't be long now!"

Scarletkit looked at her paws"but I'm still too young.."

"You're not that young," Feathersong giggled.

"Aww, come one Feathersong! You can teach us something, can't you?" Gingerkit asked, her tail drooping into the dirt when the deputy had refused to teach her. She then stared at the she-cat with large, round, adorable, kit-like blue eyes just begging for her to say yes.

Feathersong laughed. "That's not gonna work, Gingerkit!"

Scarletkit looked up"please?"
