A kits first journey out into the marshes! >;3

Fernkit finally decided this was the day she wanted to get out of the clan... She felt a rush of anxiety run over her body... But she managed to get through it and take her first steps outside of ShadowClan Camp. Just starting to eat fresh kill, she could smell the familiar odors of mice. The earth under her little paws felt damp and squishy, It had rained a sunrise ago. She felt as if she was going to sink into the ground and the earth would swallow her up as if she was a meal. When she looked up... she great huge trees maybe 5x her size in width, Standing tall like motionless giants... As ancient as star clan. Her journey as a warrior had just begun.

The young tom padded out of the camp entrance, glancing up at the sky. Huh. When did those trees get there? Shaking off the out of character misconception, he caught a familiar scent, young and still with the sweet smell of a mother's milk in their fur. It didn't take long to find the source.
"Fernkit," Sagewhisker padded up to the little she-kit, a small smile on his face. "What are you doing out here?"

Fernkit turned her head so fast it almost knocked her off her balance. She mewed "first time out of the clan."

He gave Fernkit a small look of amusement, "Kit's aren't supposed to leave the clan all by themselves." Sagewhisker scolded her gently, "It's the warrior code."

About to protest, Fernkit quickly figured out it was useless to argue and she put her head down and slowly sauntered back to clan.

"Hey, now." Sagewhisker stopped the small kit, "I'm going hunting and I could use some extra paws to help me out."

Fernkit looked back with amusement in her eyes and she skipped over to Sagewhiskers and mewed "sure, I would love to. ^_^"

Sagewhisker nodded happily, "Alright. Just be careful to watch your step.I don't wanna have to fish you out of the water." He purred and padded off.

Fernkit ran off ahead of Sagewhiskers and then stopped to lick the dirt off her shiny pelt.
