Littlepaw's Assessment

Shadowsong stood just outside of the apprentice's den. "Littlepaw, let's go!" She called out to him.

"What is it?" Littlepaw said groggily, padding out of the apprentice den

Shadowsong looked down at him for a moment before her face appeared bright and excited. "It's time for your assessment. We had to get up bright and early for it so you better be prepared," She mewed.

"Well come on then!" Littlepaw yelled already racing towards the entrance

The deputy followed behind him quickly as he darted off towards the entrance, but soon they made it close to the center of the territory. She then stopped and glanced around. "Okay, the rules of the assessment are as follows: You will hunt until I tell you to stop and you will stay within the boundaries I have given you. I will also be keeping an eye on you but you will never see me. That's about it, actually. So you will hunt between Highpines and the Thunderpath. Good luck, Littlepaw! Now go!" She meowed hoping that he would do well.

"Got it" Littlepaw said running off and spotting a frog,then pounced

Shadowsong waited a few seconds before she quietly followed him. Upon hiding in a small stray bush a distance away from Littlepaw, she saw that he had already missed his first catch. Rushing into it... she thought as she continued to watch.

"Okay, just concentrate" he murmurred finding another frog



"Yes, score one for Littlepaw!"

Shadowsong nodded slightly in approval for his first catch. This was a good sign. He was getting the hang of it again.

"Okay, just have to move forward" Littlepaw said spotting a squirrel on a log "Perfect" he whispered.


"Yay!" Littlepaw smiled, gingerly burying the squirrel to collect later

Shadowsong smiled at her apprentice. He was doing very well so far and it was making her proud. Silently, she continued to watch him.

"Hmmm, I get the weird feeling someones watching me" Littlepaw said glancing "I guess I'm just a bit to nervous." Littlepaw then found a bird, just sitting, his mouth watered just thinking about it
