Gathering for December 2011 (Last one of the year!)

Snowpaw puffed up her chest and held her head up proudly.

She recognized Snowpaw's name and scanned the clearing, spotting the apprentice. Flicking her tail, she immediately returned her gaze back to the new ThunderClan leader.

Shadowsong glanced between the leaders to see who would step up next. When no one did, she took the place where Silverstar had just been. Sucking up her nervousness, she stared out into the leaves of one of the oaks to avoid the gazes of the other cats. "Uh, well, Shadowclan has been doing well. Ghoststar has recently fallen ill which is why I have taken her place tonight, but she is quickly recovering and growing in strength. Um, we have many new warriors since the last gathering: Scarletfire, Goldflame, Darkfang and Scarletflare, and we have two new apprentices: Littlepaw and Shrikepaw. But with good news, there is bad news. We recently lost one of our elders Ebonyroot and a warrior Limestone to greencough which was dealt with quickly before the disease spread further. Otherwise, the clan is as strong as ever." As soon as she got done speaking, she quickly took her spot again on the Great Rock. It was bad enough she had to be Shadowclan's voice... she didn't want to keep the attention on herself.

Badgerfang let out a sad sigh as Shadowsong said Ebonyroot's name. Looking at her paws, she let out a sigh. Only her and her brother Pantherpaw knew that Ebonyroot was their mother, as Sparrowflight wouldn't believe that she wasn't full RiverClan, and so believe that Moonfrost was her mother.

Shrikepaw brightened at his name, but quickly dulled at the sound of his father's death. He hung his head.

Fluffing out her chest, she enjoyed the sound of her new name. Nothing else mattered. Just her. After all, Shadowsong said her name first, so therefore she mattered more.

Willowpaw's ears twitched when she heard the sad news. She knew, however, that this was the natural occurrence of life in the forest, and so accepted it. She kept her tail curled about her paws, watching intently with her green eyes.

Badgerfang sat there, waiting for the next leader to speak.

Wildstar stepped up. "We have lost a great warrior, Heathersong, and gained some new apprentices. Seapaw, who was unfortunately taken by twolegs, Runningpaw, and Willowpaw, the new medicine cat apprentice." Wildstar bowed and backed up.

Blinking in surpised, Badgerfang let out a little gasp. A apprentice was taken by twolegs? She shook her head, wishing that StarClan would bring back Seapaw safe. Raising her voice, she called out the name of the other two apprentices with the rest of the Clans. "Runningpaw, Willowpaw! Runningpaw, Willowpaw!" She soon stopped, looking around. Four leaders had spoken, but where was Stonestar? Did this mean the gathering was over? Did this mean that Sleepy could take over the forest, starting with SkyClan and WindClan? So many questions, so little time.

Willowpaw, instead of puffing up with pride, shrunk slightly, not making eye contact. She waited for the calls to subside before getting to her paws, prepared to head back to camp. It seemed that the Gathering was over.

Wildstar jumped down from the Great Rock. He called for his clan to follow and left.

OOC: Ahahaha... AHAHAHAHAHAAA!


IC: Sleepystar leaped off the Great Rock and started padding towards camp, motioning his Clan to follow him with his tail.

Badgerfang rose to her paws, and limped after her leader.
