Maykit hopped around on her hing legs, as a funny new move she made up to get a surveying of her surroundings. The majority of the apprentices and warriors were out of the camp on partrol and such-- RiverClan was rather weak right now. They had hardly any warriors, too many kits, and quite a few apprentices. And no medicine cat. It's rather ridiculous-- but I'll be a fighter, she thought. She had had her thoughts of being a medicine cat (who she was actually meant to be) but she would rather be a warrior. It's more exciting, plus she would be able to have a mate. Maykit saw Badgerpaw walking out of the apprentices den. She sneaked up behind her and jumped on her back. "Hiya!"

Badgerpaw let out a small meow as Maykit landed on her, but she didn't fall this time. "Oh, hi Maykit."

"Hiya!" she repeated, jumping off of her back. She pulled something out of a burr in her fur she'd made herself-- and hurled a shadowberry in Badgerpaw's face. "Love doing that!"

Badgerpaw shook the berry off of her head and looked at Maykti and sighed. "Ok, I am not getting anymore Shadowberries for you."

"Soon you won't need to, because soon you'll be a warrior and I'll be your apprentice!" she meowed happily. She had completely erased all thoughts of not being a warrior-- i mean, look at Badgerpaw. She had stayed up a night scolding herself about it, and now she wouldn't even think about it.

Badgerpaw smiled and nodded. "Yup! I can't wait until I am a warrior! I want to make my dad proud of me! I know that he can see me right now!" she meowed, forgetting that every cat other then her siblings thought that her parents were rogues.

"What? I thought your parents were rogues." She had been prying bits and pieces of information-- this might help her understand why Badgerpaw had been lying to her entire clan. Something's not right, her entire parentage, Maykit thought.

"Our parents were RiverClan cats, no more no less. No matter what they were called when they died." Sparrowpaw intervined, walking over and flicking her tail, she looked down at Maykit. "They are watching us... In StarClan or some other sky..." She shot Badgerpaw a harsh warning glance.

Badgerpaw just nodded quickly at Sparrowpaw and gave her a look that said I am sorry.

She noticed the look and heard the distinctive note in Sparrowpaw's voice, too. One of these day's I'll find out, she vowed. "You're a ShadowClan warrior. I'm the leader!" she yowled and jumped on Badgerpaw's back, digging sheathed paws into her back.

Badgerpaw shook her head, thinking of the memory of when her siblings and her would attack the 'ShadowClan' cat when they were in WindClan. Badgerpaw looked over at Maykit and smiled a little. "How 'bout I am ThunderClan?"

"Alright. I fight them a bit differently." She hopped off Badgerpaw's back and circled her around. As Badgerpaw began to jump, I slid under her belly and knocked two of her paws thus knocking her flat on her belly.

Hopekit ran towards them. "Badgerpaw! Maykit! I wanna play too!" she said. She stopped when she saw Sparrowpaw. "Hiya- who are you?"

Badgerpaw looked at Hopekit and smiled, and got to her paws. "Oh, Hopekit, this is my sister Sparrowpaw."
