Silversoul The Great Patroliths Thy Border

Silversoul sighed. She was sitting directly behind the borderline RiverClan cats had placed many, many seasons ago- so long ago, her step-father's sister was an apprentice. She thought about all she'd left behind in RiverClan- her good friends and her mentor and the leader now in StarClan. She could Feel the tension that had built up in her everytime she came over here, and her unsheathed claws scraped aginst the stone. She wasn't about to fight, though. To her RiverClan still had some of her compassion. Even if it was unnecassary.

Badgerpaw swam across the river, and pulled herself out of the water. She shook the water from the fur as she looked over at Silversoul. "O, Silversoul!" Badgerpaw meowed, remembering her from when Badgerpaw's border patrol was attacked by the badger. "What are you doing here?"

"Just an old-fashioned border patrol."
She said rather wearily, aware of the other cat's weight on the rocks.
"I'm assuming you are a new warrior or an old apprentice- I don't think I quite know you."
It was always amusing to her when she guessed a cat's age correctly. No doubt they had odd expressions of suprise, but she could tell by their voice.

Badgerpaw smiled, and sat down. "I remember my first border portal...that is where I first saw you. We were attacked by a badger." She sighed, and shook her head. "I will never forget that day." She looked at Silversoul with her one good eye. "I am going to be a warrior soon."

"Stay away from my sister you filthy ThunderClan!" a voice hissed. Pantherpaw flew into the water and quickly jumped on the Sunningrocks after swimming across the river. Even though his fluffy fur was soaked and flat on his body, you could still see it raised, as if he was trying to make himself look big. He hadn't really come into contact with a ThunderClan cat before, so he was still wary around them, knowing their Clan's were enemies.

Badgerpaw looked at her brother in surprise. "Oh, Pantherpaw! It's ok! This is Silversoul, the deputy of ThunderClan. She was one of the ThunderClan cats that attacked the badger that I met on my first border patrol." She flicked her tail at the blind she-cat, smiling.

This Tom couldn't be serious- could he? He sounded about the age of his sister, yet he was challenging the deputy of his Clan's enemies? How humorous.
"Say, Badgerpaw, has he challenged Sleepystar for leadership yet?"

Badgepaw looked over at Silversoul, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "No, I don't believe that Pantherpaw has yet, but I'm sure he will once he is a warrior, thought." She purred, giving her brother a small look.

"Oh, StarClan... I just wanted a quiet day." The mutter came out from the forest, and then, Deadstar emerged into the scene. He padded past his deputy and scanned Badgerpaw and Pantherpaw over. He didn't seem angry; just overworked. "What's the deal here?"

Badgerpaw looked at Deadstar, her eyes wide. "Oh, Deadstar!" She meowed as she dipped her head in greetings. "My name is Badgerpaw, this is my brother Pantherpaw." She meowed flicking her tail at her brother. "We are apprentices of RiverClan."

"Badgerpaw! You're breaking the warrior code!" Sparrowpaw followed after her brother, a growl hidden in the back of her throat. "We have no buisness talking to ThunderClan. They're the enemy, remember? Come on! Let's go..." she glared at her sister, lashing her tail and ignoring both Silversoul and Deadstar.

Badgerpaw looked at her sister and sighed. "But Sparrowpaw, you have to remember Silversoul from when I was attacked from the badger. Who knows what would of happen if she wasn't there." She looked at Deadstar, then to Silversoul. "Anyways, they seem like nice cats, why RiverClan is getting in a fight over these rocks I have no idea. They are just rocks, I don't see why we can't just share them."

"Wait...you're Deadstar? Oh wow..." he murmured, distracted by the scarred leader. He ignored Sparrowpaw and nodded to the ThunderClan leader.

"I heard stories about you from Featherstar. We used to be WindClan, me and my 3 sisters." he mewed, forgetting that he yelled at his sister for telling cats at the gathering.

Badgerpaw looked over at her brother. He had yelled at her for telling a random cat about them living in WindClan...now he is doing that! She looked around, hoping there was no other RiverClan cats around. "Ok...uh...maybe we should go..." She meowed, her eyes wide.

"Oh, so now you're gonna talk to them and start telling lies!? Sparrowpaw spat at her brother. "You're as bad as she is!"
