Leaving Behind

Rosejade stood just before SkyClan's territory. She had decided something on the way. She would drop the "Rose" from her name. Now she was Jade. She didn't smell like RiverClan anymore, having stopped at the abandoned barn to make sure of that. Currently she was a loner, having left her Clan. She walked onto the territory. "Hello?" she called.

Manypaw,not knowing it was his mate, jumped onto her,lashing at her sides with his paws.

Snakebite was near the apprentice,"Stop you fool",he hissed at him. He sprinted towards them and tried to pull the apprentice off, hoping the victum wasn't anyone he knew.

"Some welcome..." muttered Jade. "Hello. I have come to see if the Clan woudl accept a cat who has no home," she meowed. "My name is Jade."

"What?"he snapped at Snakebite, before realizing who it was."Rosejade?" he asked.

"No, I've never heard of that name," said Jade. But without Snakebite looking, she quickly shot Manypaw a look taht said, "I'll explain later." "So will you accept me?" she asked.

Snakebite saw the flash of recongnision in his eyes and he suspected he knew this cat already. The tom looked at the she-cat,"You must concult with our leader", he gave a small glance to Manypaw,"but I'm sure he will".

"Of course," meowed Jade. Her jade-green eyes looked darker than normal, and her fur was duller. She had stayed in the abandoned barn the night before, having decided that it would be best to take a while to make it harder to recognise her.

"Wash yourself too,I need to keep my den clean,"he teased.

"Of course," meowed Jade. She sighed. "Where might your leader be?" she asked.

"I think he is in his den."Manypaw replied.

"Could you show me the way?" she asked.

"Follow me,"he meowed bounding to camp.

Jade bounded after him. She had only had a joy like this ocne in her life, as a kit. She would run aound her old camp.

"Stonestar!" Manypaw yowled in his british accent."We have someone for you to meet!"
