Scarletkit gave a soft smile. "My mommy and daddy were nice. Though, they never talked to me. I don't need them, though. I can take care of myself," she purred.

"Cool" Darkkit said. He wondered how many cats in this clan were born with rouge parents, it semmed quite common, which helped Darkkit to feel like he fit in. "What happened to your parents?" he asked

Scarletkit flattened her ears. "Hm? Oh, I don't like to talk about that," she whispered.

"Oh, okay" Darkkit said, slightly disappointed. He wondered what could gave happened that would make Scarletkit not want to talk about it

Scarletkit avoided his gaze. "It was just an accident," she whispered to herself.

Darkkit heard Scarletkit whisper somethng, but couldn't tell what it was. He wondered if he should change the subject.

Scarletkit's eyes strayed around. "So.. um.. how about that fox? Big, huh?" she purred.

"Yeah" Darkkit said "You were really brave though".

"We were all brave today," she said, giving a small smile.

Darkkit smiled too. Goldkit and Tawnypaw were brave too. "Yeah" he said wishing he had done something. "That fox made a big mess though". He found it interesting how much blood there was on the Thunderpath after the fox got hit

"Heh, yeah. I really scared Goldkit, too! I wonder if ThunderClan will get mad at us?"

"Why would they get mad?" Darkkit asked. He didn't know much about clan rules, but he didn't think that they had done anything wrong

"I went in their territory! Even though we probably broke the rules, that was pretty cool! I wasn't scared! Nuh-uh!" she said, puffing out her chest.

"Oh" Darkkit said. He hadn't realized that going into the other clans territory was against the rules. "You weren't scared?" he asked "not even of the big things that moved really fast?"

Scarletkit flicked her ears. "Heh. Nope! What about you?"
