Dustkit has been a kit for over two weeks!

Stoneclaw walked with her up to one of the trees that covered the camp "Climb up it and try to balance on the branches"

Dustkit stared at the tree, and unsheathed her claws. She jumped at the tree, hooking her claws into the hard bark. Wrapping her paws around the trunk, she dug her claws in deeper and clawed her way up to the lowest branch. Very carefully she stepped out onto the branch and walked forward. Her tail nervously swished back and forth.
"Did I do good?"

"For the first time" Stoneclaw purred "you need to be more quiet when you walk and blend into the background" he looked around "remember a cat can see your shadow on the ground"

"Oh!" Dustkit mewled." Should I try again?"

Stoneclaw nodded yes

Dustkit dug her claws into the brach and lowered herself to the ground. Then she crouched down and stalked towards the tree, her footsteps not making a sound. Silently she secured her claws into the trunk of the tree and scrabbled up the the branch. Making sure her shadow did not touch the ground she leaned against the trunk.
"How was that?" her eyes glittered.

"much better" Stoneclaw smiled "now here is an attack that only Skyclan knows. I want you too hand onto the branch with your front claw and swing down and attack me with your back claws."

"Okay...." Dustkit dug her claws into the brach and swung down, her hindlegs flying in the direction of Stoneclaw. She had her claws sheathed as she kicked him in the back.

Stoneclaw almost fell forward but dug his claws into the ground "That is very good" he laughed "It is good for sneaking up on your enemies. Claw their faces and you scare them away"

Dustkit dropped down from the branch and purred happily. "Do you think I will become an apprentice soon?"

"Yes" Stoneclaw nodded his "And you have the makings of a good one"
