Leafkit Sneaks Out

Leafkit made sure that everyone was asleep and walked out of the nursery quietly.She walked out the entrance of the camp and fealt a cold breeze.Leafkit smiled Wow I can't believe I made it without waking anyone up leafkit smiled triumphantly.She walked over to the river and smelled for fish she thought she saw somthing in the water.

Pinestar was, unfortunately for Leafkit, right behind her, bending over the kit. "And what are we doing tonight?"

ic: Leafkit jumped and turned around and unfortunately for Leafkit Pinestar was behind her."Umm...just getting some...fresh air?"

"Fresh air is not for nighttime occasions," she meowed. She nudged the kit.

leafkit nodded guiltily then mewed smally"i was finding food for the clan im sorry" she hung her head gloomly.

Pinestar blinked. "Did you find anything?" she asked curiously as they walked.

Leafkit shook her head,and looked into the water.She walked again but tripped on a rock,and fell into the river.She tried to swim but could'nt.

Pinestar looked behind her to see the young kit slip into the icy water. She plunged into the water and grabbed the kit by the scruff. She quickly surfaced and tossed the kit onto land. "Leafkit! When I get out of this river i'm going to- kaaak!" She choked on a mouthful of water and she suddenly disappeared underneath the water. She coughed, losing air fast. As she arose, she gulped in a lot of air until the current yanked her downwards. Her struggling ceased when her head struck a rock, and she went limp and floated to the surface, going downstream. Her 3rd life ebbed away. The RiverClan leader saw a white she-cat with brown spots. She looked at her paws. "No, Dewdrop," she whispered. "D- don't! I.. my 3rd life..." The cat pressed her nose against Pinestar's and she felt herself still being taken by the water's current. She surfaced and sunk her claws in the ground. She pulled herself out and shook her wet pelt. She felt as if Dewdrop was farther away now. Her 3rd life was given to her by the cat, and she closed her eyes in disbelief. "Dewdrop.." she murmured.

Leafkit mewed guiltily'I-I am sorry Pinestar."leafkit bowed her head in shame I should have known that I would be caught but more importanty who is Dewdrop? "Leafkit

Pinestar looked up at Leafkit and swiped up her scruff. She angrily stomped to camp. She set down the troublesome kit in the Nursery. "Hmph! An appropriate punishment for a kit..? Hm... you are going to wait longer to become an apprentice!" she hissed, turning around to head to her den.

Leafkit Mewed"Thats not fair!I was only looking for prey!"leafkit eyes swelled up with tears.

"And you could've waited until being an apprentice, but you have to wait longer now!" she hissed sharply, and in a low whisper so she wouldn't wake anyone up.

Leafkit sobbed angrily"Why can't I HELP the clan!?"leafkit thought angrily pinestar is such a mousebrain!i was only HELPING the clan

"Huh whats that noise" Lionclaw meowed in the warriors den. He than got up to investigate but heard a voice and found out it was a angry kit. He walked in and meowed "Hello young one. Oh, and hello Pinestar."

Leafkit looked at lionclw and frustratedly said"i got in trounle for trying to HELP the clan by catching prey"
