Madness Spreads Like Disease

Ghosthaze winced. "No. Sleepyyawn... and... It's very confusing." She finally said.

"What do you mean?" Ebonyroot wondered, if you thought about it, nothing seemed odd about two deputies fighting it off... The only thing confusing would be the reason. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Well... It wasn't exactly him." she told the medicine cat.

"Well, then who was it?" The she-cat flicked her ears as she finished her work.

The familiar black form appeared beside Ghosthaze again. "You'll sound like a fool."

Sleepyyawn looked away from the younger warrior. "I-I can't remember..." he looked down at a bloodstained claw. "I just remember seeing that."

Ghosthaze shook her head at him. "It's some... I dunno... Imaginary enemy of Sleepyyawn... but he's not completely imaginary. He's almost like a ghost." Ghosthaze tried to explain.

"A ghost?" Ebonyroot tilted her head, "Like a StarClan cat? Does Sleepyyawn know him?"

He laughed. "I'm your imagination. Your insanity."

Limestone sat outside the medicine cat den. He wanted to know what exactly was up. Flexing his claws, he waited for Ghosthaze.

Ghosthaze shook her head. "Not like StarClan. Completely opposite of StarClan. He's like a parasite that feeds off someones madness to end up making them even more crazy." She winced from her stomach wound. She was getting to anxious. She needed to calm down or she could seriously hurt the kits.

Ebonyroot flicked her ears. "Hey, hey.. chill..." The she-cat muttered, grabbing another plant from Hawkpath's storage, she'd make it up later. "I can only assume if not StarClan, then someone from the place of no stars, could that be it? More crazy? That's where you're losing me..."

"He tells them he is in their mind. Trying to trick them into thinking they're insane so then they believe him. Then he convinces them they are going crazier until... OW!" she yowled in pain.

"Okay- I've heard enough... You need to calm down for the kits sake, I'll talk to Sleepyyawn while you get some rest.." Ebonyroot frowned, pushing a few chamomile and borage leaves in front of the deputy. "Eat these, then I want you sleeping in the nursery.."

Ghosthaze bent her head to eat the herbs. "Alright." she said before taking a mouthful. She winced.

"That should help you relax.." Ebonyroot blinked. "I can hear Limestone outside the den.." she mused, surprised he hadn't marched inside yet. Her mind raced over her words, however, a ghost? What was Sleepyyawn going through?
