The First Morning Of The Wounded

Nightpaw awakened the following day and began to open both eyes and she heard a hiss,the same she had heard when she met Sandnose,she opened good eye only and hissed quietly,"a simple warning would have been fine!"

Nightpaw continued to sleap

Ngithpaw looked back at Nightpaw's broken leg to make sure that he hadn't moved it that night,it was fine as she thought it would be,she rose and stretched,"maybe I should go find us something to eat?"she thought aloud

Nightpaw had woken up to the sound of her voice but pretended to continue sleaping

Nightpaw paced around the outside of the cave,"I just don't want to leave him here alone,"she meowed to herself,"I'll miss him too much,and he might think something happened to me!"she sighed and padded back into the cave,she placed her paws on his side and shook him a little bit,"wake up my sweet Nightpaw..."she purred in his ear thinking that he would be too sleepy to hear her

"wha" meowed Nightpaw pretending to wake up sleapily

"oh,good you're up,"she meowed,"I was thinking about going out to see what I could find as in prey,I just wanted you to know before I left,"she told him

"ok"meowed Nightpaw

Ebonyroot yawned and padded into the cave.

"oh,greetings Ebonyroot,"she meowe dipping her head to t he Medicine Cat,"I was just about to go hunting to get me and Nightpaw something to eat,"explained Nightpaw,"is that ok?"

"Oh hello" meowed Nightpaw as Ebonyroot padded into the cave

Ebonyroot paused and smiled a little, "Yes, Nightpaw. Thank you." She padded over to the tom's side. "Hello... Alright, stretch your leg out."

Nightpaw liffted his leg and winced as he streched his leg

"Put it down.." she ordered, sniffing the cast gently. It smelled sour. It would need fresh herbs. "Feeling any better?"

Nightpaw lowered his leg and replied, "much" he meowed
