Deathpaw's Herb Training

"Right!" Ebonyroot purred, proud of her apprentice's thinking. "Unfortunately, it only grows well in ThunderClan territory, you'd have to cross well across the Thunderpath to find some." she flattened her ears.

"That it does." Ebonyroot replied, "A little ways from the carrionplace, ironically."

"Ahh." Deathpaw nodded. "And for the Marigold, where does that grow?"

"Find a stream or a small pond, there will most likely be a patch of marigold." Ebonyroot answered, padding back into the center of the fourtrees clearing.

"So, marigold then cobwebs if there's a newly infected scratch... Horsetail for an already infected one... And Burdock root for rat bites?"

"And Dandelions." Ebonyroot finished for her. "For bee stings. They're abundant, you don't have to worry about it too much, unless a cat decides to go hunting for honey." She smiled, good luck to the cat who wanted to attempt that.

"Something golden and sticky bees make in their nests." Ebonyroot replied, catching sight of another interesting herb near the way to WindClan. She walked over to it. "It helps sooth sore throats... Come here.." She called to Deathpaw.

Deathpaw padded over to her mentor.

"You need to know what these are." Ebonyroot meowed firmly, revealing to her a small bush with bright red berries. "It is what your mother named you for..."

"Deathberries. They kill you if you eat them, right?" Deathpaw's eyes lit up. "Thats what I want my name to be! Deathberry!"

Ebonyroot smirked. "Right. They should only be used to put a cat out of it's misery, if death is a better option then suffering through life..."
She looked over her apprentice with amusement. "Deathberry?" the she-cat mused, "I'll keep that in mind, but you still have lots to learn."

Deathpaw nodded eagerly. "Only then. Do you use any other poisonous plants?"

"Well..." Ebonyroot thought carefully, "In cases of extreme emergency, like when a cat has a seizure, Foxglove seeds could be used to save them... but it could also kill them just as easy, or make things worse..." she looked back in her memories, her own mentor had never mentioned anything much past that. "No.. Everything else should be avoided completely. There are things in this forest strong enough to kill a Twoleg." She looked at Deathpaw seriously.
