Dustkit goes hunting

Dustkit pads through the trees, head hanging. She had decided to go hunting, so that she could become an apprentice faster, but she had gotten lost after chasing a mouse. She heard a scuffling noise then sniffed the air. Mouse! She thought. Dustkit crouched down, her belly just barely scraping the leaves. She tried to do it like she'd seen her father do it. Dustkit stilled her tail, resisting the urge to swish it back and forth. She padded forward through the trees. Dustkit tried to stay as silent as she could. She jumped up, tackling the mouse. Dustkit killed it swiftly. She was one lucky kit. She glanced around. There was a squirrel on the other side of thunderpath. If she brought that back....... Her mouth watered at the sight of it. She had tasted squirrel before. She dropped her mouse and crawled forward.

She was in the middle of the thunderpath when she heard rumbling and felt the ground vibrating. A monster! Speeding across the Thunderpath she scared away the squrriel. Then Dustkit reluctantly bounded into the trees of Shadowclan.

Plus, if you want to be in SkyClan, there's no reason you'd be on the Thunderpath. Plus, kits don't make good hunters... so...
