Bringing back Sorrow

Deadfrost, holding his sister's precious body in his teeth, had his tail dragging in the dirt. He was hurt, tired, and most of all, heartbroken. This was-- or had been his very last family member. Aside from his mate and last surviving kits, there was no one. No one.
Just outside the camp, he set the scarlet-stained ginger body down and moaned. "Why do I always have to suffer?" His shoulders were hunched and he let the rain soak him, wash the blood away, soak into the grass.

"S....Sunset? SUNSET!!!" Snowpaw yowled. "Why did this happen?" She buried her nose into the she-cats ginger fur.

Sunkit poked his head out of the nursery. He looked at the ginger she-cat's body on the ground and realized what had happened. "Is that Sunset? Is she... in StarClan?" Sunkit asked, feeling a great deal of sadness wash over him.

Snowclaw noticed Sunkit had gone from her side."Sunkit?" she mewed,looking around."There you are!" she mewed "Whats wrong?".Snowclaw looked out of the nursery and seen Sunset "Sunset!" she mewed,rushing out of the nursery "Oh Deadfrost,what happened?" she asked "Was it them foxes that killed..." she mewed,her voice trailling of.

"Sunset!" a calico wailed from across the clearing. It was Dapplepaw, who just came back from a patrol.

"Who did the foxes kill, mommy?" Sunkit asked. He was young when his real mother died, and had forgotten about who his real mother was.

Snowpaw started shaking from nose to tail-tip. "Why did they take you" she hissed. "My only friend." She ran off, out of camp.

"Err...Nobody" she mewed

Deadfrost lay now, his node pressed into his sister's cold, orange fur. You're with mother now. And father and Jaggedlines.

We will always be with you...
The soft wind carried Sunset's voice, as beautful and delicate as it could ever be.
