| #05~ Humor Curse those who had created practical jokes. I didn’t grow up with them, and then suddenly, this wave of pranksters come in our camp, and my moss is soaked. There’s rocks in my food, worms replaced the medicine cat’s herbs, and the elders are too shaken to say anything. Honestly, nothing really is funny, not in the laughing way. Sometimes jokes are taken too far. Like they say, it’s all fun and games until someone ends up in the medicine cat’s den. Earlier, one of my friends came up to me and asked if I would go check on something for her. When I asked Featherstar what she wanted, she said it was in her den, but I would know what it was when I saw it. Somehow, the leader managed to get to her den before I did, and she scared me halfway to Starclan. I suspect she was the one who messed up everything else around camp, just to see what we would do.

| #5 Humor
Ashpaw awoke in the Medicine Cats den. It had been a week since the fight, and she had healed, yet she never left the den. Blackfang was always sleeping. He had suffered so many lacerations at the fight, that it was taking him awhile to heal up. She refused to leave his side, and no one tried to stop her. Ashpaw wanted to be here when he woke up, if he ever did. "Ashpaw?" She hear Blackfang's cracked voice from deep within the Medicine Cats den. The apprentice rushed to his side. He tried lopsidedly to stand, and Ashpaw rushed to his side to help him. The two ended up in a heap on the cold cave floor. They laughed. It was the first time Ashpaw had laughed in a long time, and the humorfelt good. ______________________________________ |

| #6 Rain
Once, long ago, there had been a leader of WindClan. Her name had been Rainstar. Ashpaw had heard from a good friend of her mother's, Featherstar, that Rainstar had died when she was kitting. It was very tragic. Ashpaw admired Rainstar more than any other leader she had ever met. It was sort of odd to be admiring the same she-cat who had killed Jaystar. But Ashpaw had her values and other people had theirs. So it wasn't a surprise that whenever it rained, Ashpaw would take a trip to Fourtrees were it was said that Rainstar had died. Blackfang came with her sometimes, and other times she went alone. She always knew thought, that when she died, she wanted to be just like Rainstar. ______________________________________ |

| #06~ Rain Dark clouds hung overhead as the fluffy she-cat crossed the moor. Wind blasted the long grass to the ground, also making her fur try to get away, but it was attached to Heathersong’s skin. A rumble in the distance, and then it started. Big, fat raindrops the size of a mouse’s snout began falling from the sky, pounding little holes in the exposed dirt. Soon, there were so many of them that it made small rivers run to the lower points of the meadow. The corners of her mouth tugged upward as she closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. She simply loved the smell of a fresh rain. It made her imagine what her mother had smelled like, what her personality might have been, and if her attitude was anything like the rain’s: light at times, and angry at others. Rainfall had been her mother’s warrior name, and it soothed her, much as the storm did now.

| #7 Loneliness
Ashpaw sat by herself for the first time in a long time. It was a lonely day for her. Blackfang had been chosen to escort Willowpaw to the Moonstone for her Medicine Cat ceremony along with Tigerlily, the old Medicine Cat who had trained her. No one dared come towards her, and for the first time she realized how everyone saw her without Blackfang at her side. She couldn't hide her upsetting frown. A small kit walked up to her. "Hello." She said. Ashpaw started to not feel so lonely anymore. ______________________________________ |

| #07~ Loneliness They all said she didn’t cope well with being alone. Nobody imagined that maybe, just maybe, she preferred being alone. She survived better. It made her stronger. Loneliness is what made Heathersong. . well, Heathersong. Standing on the edge of the gorge, she felt powerful. She had thoughts of her own, she could think, it was all so easy. Without others, she was greater. Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to be out on her own; it encouraged bad thoughts, made her have those strange dreams. But nobody could stop her. Loneliness made her.

| #08~ Happiness “I won’t leave you. Ever.” She was in love, she knew it, but was stunned. Why would anybody like her? The she-cat was interdependent, an outcast, hardly anybody but Featherstar spoke to her. Yet, she could feel the thoughts creeping up on her. She. Was. In. Love. Nothing would change that. “I will miss you,” she whispered, not looking the tom in his burning eyes. “Don’t worry, love,” he murmured back, nuzzling her. “I’ll be back. No need to be concerned.” He licked Heathersong on the top of her head, right between her ears. Just as he was about to walk away, she called out, “I’m expecting kits!” Her mate paused, absorbing this news. Then he turned, and the queen positively glowed with joy. Always together, never apart. I truly am the happiest she-cat in the clans.

| #8 Happiness
Ashpaw sat int RiverClan camp, tingling from head to toe. Today was the day! She was finally going to be a warrior. Pinestar called onto her. "Ashpaw will you step forward please?" She did as asked, and walked onto the rock. Her eyes flashed happily and Blackfang stood proudly. She could only see him, until Pinestar said one word. "Ashheart." Everyone cheered and called her new name, and she nearly cried with happiness. Finally she felt as though she had shed her old skin and was now a new cat. Not the one everyone looked at and said, Oh, her mother died recently. She's kind of a loner. She was now Ashheart, who was proud and beautiful. She was happy. ______________________________________ |

| #9 Meaning
Ashheart walked the night patrol swiftly. It had only been one day since she had become a warrior, but she had already volunteered to take night shift for the rest of the week. Blackfang had know the opprutunity and taken it by the reigns. "Ashheart, may I talk to you?" He asked. She walked to him, and looked up. "Yes?" She said. So much emotion shone in his eyes, as the two were painted against the woodland scene. "Will you be my mate?" Those five words had more meaning in them then anything else. The promised her future, and security, and that somewhere some one actually loved her. And she loved that person too. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" She said. ______________________________________ |

| #10 Scent
It smelt of milk and raspberry leaves. It was the nursery of course. A she-cat had just given her first litter and Ashheart couldn't wait to see them. The smell of warmth drifted from the new born kits. She couldn't wait to take one of the fresh beds next to the Queen. "Their beautiful." She told them. The she-cat would have to eat cat mint, which smelt amazing to Ashheart. "I hope that they have long healthy lives." One kit had been still born and had smelt of death. Blackfang had been sent to bury it, and Ashheart had instructed him to wash at the River before he came back to camp smelling of dead kits. When he did show up, he smelt of wildflowers. "I found a patch to roll in." He said. Ashheart could help but think about how he was too good for her. ______________________________________ |

| #09~ Meaning My thoughts on meaning. Like, what meaning means to me? That doesn’t make much sense, but okay. Well, let me see. Cats need to mean what they say. Words are just words unless you put emotion into them. Nothing else matters if you’re being used. Such as the other day, some apprentice comes up to me and says, “Heathersong, I will go hunting with you later.” I’m not quite sure if she was impressing her friends or not, but come late afternoon, I approached her sharing tongues with her peers. When I asked about our hunting expedition, she stared at me blankly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she swore, and the little apprentice looked sincere. See? When meaning is not put into words, they are immaterial.

| #11 Name
Ashheart purred. Nestled beside her was a kit. It had been rescued from Sunningrocks, and she had automatically volunteered. The kit was to small to even open its eyes. The had to name it. But what name would fit it? The she-kit was small and sandy colored, and Ashheart loved her already. "I shall name you something to fit the leader of LionClan!" She declared, her eyes bright with enthusiasm. Blackfang let out a mrrow of laughter at his mate, and layed at her side, licking her ears tenderly. "How about Fernkit?" He asked. Ashheart smiled. "Its perfect. My sweet little Fernkit." She said, licking the kit and murmuring her name. ______________________________________ |

| #12 Loss
Ashheart sat silently. Fernkit was now Fernpaw, and was aloud to leave the nursery with Ashheart, who sat starring at a patch of unusual bright blue wild flowers. "Mother, what are you doing?" Fernpaw asked, walked around gingerly. "I'm looking at my Mother's grave" She said heaving over the loss. "Where's Father, you look like you could use him." Blackfang had been sent to escort Sleepyyawn to MotherMouth, so he could recieve his nine lives. Fernpaw and Ashheart were partolling the boarder. Tears burned at the edges of Ashhearts eyes. She blinked them away without another thought. "I know you miss her Mother, but you must move on." And so the two did, moving to another place on the boarder, that wasn't so depressing. ______________________________________ |

| #10~ Scent Heathersong opened her jaw slightly, drinking in the morning air. It was a cold, sweet scent. There was dew on the grass, and the sun was just rising. The warrior began to run, racing across the moor like she was floating on air, and suddenly, she froze. Her nose was high in the air, and again, her jaw parted to get more scent. A rabbit popped its head above the grass, barely missing seeing his enemy. She pulled herself along, her belly almost completely flat against the ground as she inched closer and closer, almost there, and. . pouncing, she landed on top of the rabbit. Heathersong closed her teeth on its neck, killing it instantly. Later, she trotted confidently back to camp with her prey hanging from her mouth. The only way she would have found her dinner was with her nose, and for scent, she was thankful.
OoC: Fea, can we truce for tonight? Stop at 12 or 13, and then compete from there starting tomorrow? ;~; |

| #13 Death
There she sat, a little too still for Ashheart's liking. Tigerlily. She was dead. Willowbranch had said so. She was so disheaved. Poor Willowbranch. Tigerlily had been like her mother. Tigerlily had been her friend. No one could comfort her. Ashheart knew the feeling, and so, she left the support of her mate and daughter and went to Willowbranch. No words were said, just a embrace as Willowbranch sobbed on her shoulder. "It's okay. She is in StarClan, the ones who have been guiding her along the way." She said, Willowbranch's sobbing lessening. She smiled. Her belly juggled with the weight of four kits. Willowbranch looked at her. "Your expecting?" Ashheart nodded. "I feel horrible! I was suppose to know these things. I've been pouring over Tigerlily's sickness so much, I couldn't even notice." The two laughed. In the middle of death, new friend ship was born. ______________________________________ |
