In Ebony's Den

Ebonypaw sorted through a few herbs, picking through the ones which had been
ruined by whatever leaf-bare's frost had managed to sneak in and steal.

Mosspaw walked in "Hi Ebonypaw do you want me to get more herbs" she asked looking at the ruined ones

The Medicine Cat Apprentice swept all the dry leaves into a pile. "Sure, I'll come with you though." she meowed, "It'll be easier that way."
Ebonypaw smiled and put the herbs back in their places. "Alright, let's go." she said and padded out of camp.

Mosspaw followed by her side.

"Alright." Ebonypaw meowed, "We need Catmint, Horsetail, Marigold... and Cobweb is always good." she decided to herself. "You know what to look for?"

"I can get some cobweb a saw alot near the thunderpath" she mewed

"Go fetch some." Ebonypaw nodded, "And I'll go gather some Marigold. There's a good patch near here."

"okay' she mewed running off

Ebonypaw smiled and to an area covered with small bushes of bright yellow and orange flowers. She started to pick off some of the leaves, purposely leaving the buds behind.

Mosspaw stopped in front of a jackpot of cobweb she came bacck to the spot and waited for ebony...her front legs were covered in cobwebs

Ebonypaw noticed her return. "Wow." she nearly grew wide eyes, "You weren't lying. Awesome." She purred lightly and turned back to her gathered leaves, thinking she might give her a little lecture.
"This plant is Marigold." she meowed, "You know what you use it for?"

"to help heal sick cats" she mewed

Her whiskers twitched in amusement. "Yes, but that's what almost every herb does." she joked lightly. Ebonypaw lifted up one of the leaves with her claw. "You can chew the leaves or the petals up and put them on a wound. It's good to put to keep a cut from getting infected." she explained.

"okay what about the catmint' she mewed

"To help fight Greencough." Ebonypaw replied, "Though too strong to use for a case of whitecough or kittencough."
