Walking beneath the Stars

Deadfrost's indigo eyes snapped open, and he rose to his paws. Dreams had been disturbing him, and he couldn't sleep without kicking someone in the flank or making murmuring noises. He slipped out the entrance, and out into the camp. It was quiet and dark, other than the cold white eye that was the moon. The stars accompanied it, like little moths surrounding one of those shiny twoleg things that they hung on their nests at night. The still air was cold and frigid, but it didn't penetrate Deadfrost's thick gray coat. His fur was turned to silver, and it made him feel like a sliver of ice, in a dark hole. He sniffed, and prowled out of camp. The forest was surprisingly beautiful. Fireflies hung around old shrubs, illuminating the snow, giving it a glossy flare. The leafless trees held bundled of icicles, which reflected the moonshine and created long, sharp crystals of ice. Not a thing disturbed the night, this perfect night. All except the soft hum of the wind brushing through the dry bushes of holly and the soft tufts of snow.

Angelclaw was in a clearing, fireflies dancing around her. She was lying down, sighing gently. She gazed at the bright, beutiful fireflies. "I wish I was able to light up the night sky," she sighed quietly, gazing abouve her at the stars and the fireflies. She was unaware that Deadfrost was near.

Lightningshock couldn't sleep and walked out into the clearing, he padded over to the usual tree he liked to climb and sat under it.

Angelclaw heaved a quiet sigh again. She began to watch a particular firefly, it had the brightest glow, the swiftest and quickest moves and the most eager to come near Angelclaw. The large firefly buzzed over to Angelclaw, landed on her nose. Angelclaw gave a giggle as if she was a kit. The firefly tickled her, happily. The firefly's reflection was in her eyes. Angelclaw gazed at it. She felt like a kit again...

Leopardheart bounded from branch to branch sullenly. The fireflies and stars held no happiness for her. Ever since the recent deaths, to the absence of GOldenstar, to Featherfall's betrayal....

Deadfrost's ears twitched. He looked up, and jumped, at the sight of Leopardheart. "Hello.." He noticed the grim expression on the deputy's face. "I know what your thinking," he sighed.

Angelclaw watched the firefly fly away, slowly. It seemed to wave to her. My imagination, she thought to herself. She looked at Deadfrost and Leopardheart. "Hi," she mewed, padding up to them.

Deadfrost flicked a tail in greeting to Angelclaw. He stared up at Leopardheart. "It..it's about Featherfall, and the death, isn't it..? Because I've...felt so horrible about those. Every night, I wake up from some sort of strange dream about death or betrayal. That's why I'm out here now. I need..silence." He closed his eyes.

OOC: Not omen dreams...he's just troubled D:

Leopardheart growled. "I can't stand this stuff. Betrayal...from within the clan."

Snowclaw padded through the forest and stared up at the stars I was up there once... she thought

"I hope no other ThunderClan cat will betray us and move to another Clan," she hissed gently.

OCC: Who died?!?! I dun know this stuffz!

IC: Deadfrost's eyes darkened with sorrow and anger. "I can't either! Featherfall took every last one of our kits to WindClan, without leaving me one!" he spat, digging his claws into the ground. "But I have a better mate now." (Wash responding to Leo)
