Get an Eevee.
PUT IT IN FIELD ONE, AND FIELD ONE ONLY.
Leave it for about 5-7 days. Maybe less. When its status shows "Eevee is running aorund playfully" it will be ready to evolve.
And yes Sleepy, you do. Look on the bottom left corners of the fields, they will tell you what pokemon to put in them.
