General MaintenanceMentor RequestsMentor requests are permitted, with the acknowledgement that they won't always be honored. Where possible they will typically be granted, but sometimes there are too many or too few apprentices; or too many warriors who still need their apprentice training requirement.
Mentor ReassignmentsIf your mentor has been inactive for over a month, or hasn't started your training after you've reached out to them, you can request a mentor reassignment ceremony with the Kit > Apprentice ceremony request form and PMing
Holly, either on-site or on Discord.
Optional TopicsCheck-in TopicsNone of these topics are required, but they offer new options for character development! Leopardsun believes strongly in creating a sense of community within ShadowClan, and has taken it upon herself to foster that sense of community by interacting with the cats around her. As deputies are responsible for handling mentors and apprentices, it's the easiest place to start.
Please note that these are strictly in-character topics, and should not reflect anything OOC.Apprentice Check-InIn this optional topic, Leopardsun will ask the apprentice how their training is going, how they're getting along with their mentor, and offer to help them with any skills they might be struggling with. These topics are not intended to be formal training, but can use the system if the apprentice's roleplayer wishes.
There's also the option for an assessment: Leopardsun will watch while the apprentice hunts a set amount of prey, spars with a clanmate, or navigates the marsh. Should something go wrong, she will step in to help while taking note of how the apprentice handles the situation. As before, these topics are not intended to be formal training and are intended as character development more than anything.
Mentors are encouraged to be present for assessment topics.Mentor Check-InIn this optional topic, Leopardsun will check in with mentors to see how their apprentice's training is progressing. If they have any concerns about their apprentice or their training, or they choose to ask her for advice, she will do what she can to aid them.
