A jumble of contradictions, really, but means well. She is introverted but is still capable of speaking to someone when necessary and doing so with confidence. She has a long fuse and quite a bit of patience in tense situations, but will jump head-first into conflict if anyone she cares about is threatened. She is fairly brave when it comes to the benefit of loved ones, but is the world's biggest coward if the only life she needs to be concerned with is her own. That said, Amberstone has a hard time making friends and finds socializing to be exhausting if it's not her particular crowd. After about an hour of acting like she cares what someone else has to say, faking the appropriate expressions and all that social etiquette requires, she is thoroughly exhausted and must retreat to solitude. She is especially socially awkward around kits, trying her very best to not hurt their feelings if they try to talk to her, but overall finding them purely irritating and wanting to get away ASAP.
She basically lives within the confines of a social structure that she finds little joy in, but tries to please everyone anyway. After awhile, her frustration can build to the point she becomes snippy, rude, brutally honest and even a bit malicious with her words and actions. This is her (very immature and she admits it) way of letting everyone around her know that she has had enough and she needs to be left alone or someone is going to get claws to the face and spit in their eye.
To her friends and family, Amberstone loves fiercely and is easily hurt by their rejection or sharp words, whereas anyone she considers outside of her "circle", their insults roll off of her back. She may even enjoy the banter and strife on occasion. Amberstone loves fiercely and can be loyal to a fault/to her own detriment once she allows you inside her circle. She usually avoids doing something she would consider morally wrong, but she is very willing to do even the most heinous acts for family and friends if she thinks its necessary for their safety and well-being.
