The Death Of Shiningpride. (Anybody and Everybody Join Please!)

Deadfrost grasped her scruff and lifted her off the ground.

Flamepelt ran into the clearing coughing. Then he saw a lifeless Shiningpride in Deadfrost's muzzle. He frowned. He looked at Sunset. "What happened?" He coughed and looked at Shiningpride, realizing. "No..." He shook his head.

A tear slid down her cheek.
"Yes..."

"N..." He started, but ended in a fit of coughing. He fell to the ground, his coughes never ending.

SHe gasped and ran to him.
"Are... are you ok?"

Deadfrost laid Shiningpride down gently. "I think he has greencough."

"I'm fine..." Flamepelt said and coughed. He groaned, trying to get up, but falli ng right back down. He coughed again. "Yes..." He managed. "For a while now..."

Deadfrost looked at him. "What are you doing out of your camp in leafbare with greencough? You know, that could turn into blackcough..."

Sunset was worried.
"Will he be ok?"

Deadfrost thought. "I'm no medicine cat, but that's a bad case. Can you make it back to your camp?" he asked Flamepelt. Deadfrost looked back at Sunset with fiery eyes. "You won't lose another cat. I won't let it happen."

Shiningprides spirt came down next to Sunset and looked her daughter staright in the eye, "It's time, let him go... for me....please for me Sunset....please." She looked at flamepelt with love. "Its okay Flame its not that bad." She cracked a smile. "Sunset...its okay."

Sunset looked at her mother, pained.
"If it's time for him to go... then take him."
She could hardly look at him anymore. She would be experiencing two painful deaths in one night.

Flamepelt looked at Shingpride and smiled. "Shining..." He coughed. His eyes filled with tears as he sighed. He nodded. "My suffering with come to an end." He said and gave one last cough, before falling limp.

Sunset hung her head.
"How will we get him home?"
She whispered.

Deadfrost sighed. "We should bring him to his camp, they won't attack us." He picked up Flamepelt in his jaws and began to carry him in the direction of the river. He was surprisingly light, probably due to his sickly condition.
