Sparring with a Rabbit (closed)

Dandelionflight led Rabbitpaw out into a clearing in the forest. She was sent out to help train her with battling. She guessed it would be good practice for when she had an apprentice of her own. She waited until Rabbitpaw seemed ready and tried to start a lesson. “Hmm, I assume you don’t know much about battle training, so I’ll have to start from the beginning! A battle crouch is very similar to a hunters crouch, so you shouldn’t have much trouble,” she swiftly dropped into a crouch and bunched up her muscles, waiting to pounce. “I’m going to try and jump on that leaf over there. You do the same after I’m done,” she meowed to Rabbitpaw. After she was sure Rabbitpaw was watching, Dandelionflight leaped forward and landed squarely on the leaf. She turned back to her friend and signaled for her to try. She sat down and watched Rabbitpaw’s movements closely.

When Bloodstrike told Rabbitpaw that she would be training with Dandelionflight, she was beyond thrilled! She was going out with one of her bestest friends in the whole Clans, aside from Dawnfeather, oh and of course Oliverain, and Dappledpaw was pretty cool too...... And she did like Bloodstrike too! Oh and there was Hollowpaw, she couldn't forget about her little brother! But Dandelionflight was so awesome too!

Oh, right, they were training! She almost forgot!

"I can do a hunter's crouch! I am really good at that!" She mimicked her impromptu mentor for the day, getting into a crouch as well, before flashing a toothy grin.

“I’m going to try and jump on that leaf over there. You do the same after I’m done,”

Nodding, Rabbitpaw watched as the warrior surged forward, amazed at her accuracy as she brought her forepaws down on the fragile leaf.

"I can do that! Easy peasy! Watch!"

Waiting for Dandelionflight to get out of the way, Rabitpaw lunged at the already crumbled leaf. The good news was, she got to it, her forepaws hitting the crumbs on the ground, breaking them up even more. Bad news, she couldn't get herself to stop, tumbling forward until she eventually was stopped by a tree. She wasn't too badly hurt, at least, but she was sort of upside-down against the trunk.

Everything seemed to be going well, until Rabbitpaw tumbled straight into a tree. Dandelionflight immediately leapt up and rushed over to where Rabbitpaw was slumped against the tree. She tried to help her to her paws and meowed, “Are you okay?” She didn’t seem hurt, other than a few bruises. “If you’re fine, then we can continue training” She would be disappointed if this stopped their training session, but Rabbitpaw’s safety was more important.

Standing up on shaky legs, Rabbitpaw nodded her head, a little bit dazed. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine! I think I can see StarClan, though....." It was like stars were swirling around her, although they quickly cleared up, at the very least.

Having recovered from her unfortunate crash, it was only natural that the young apprentice tried again. And there just so happened to be the perfect target, right in front of her.

With a cheeky grin, Rabbitpaw charged at Dandelionflight, squealing with delight when she wrapped her paws around the warrior, almost as if in an embrace. "Did I do it right this time?"

Rabbitpaw used Jumping Strike, dealing 4 damage and costing 7 stamina.

Dandelionflight let out a sigh of relief as Rabbitpaw got up. She seemed to be able to get back to training. “Good! Let’s try-” she started to say, but Rabbitpaw suddenly cut her off. She staggered as Rabbitpaw knocked into her and Dandelionflight let out a purr. “Yes! Now this is how you do a swipe!” She brought one paw up batted at her friend.

Dandelionflight used Front Paw Swipe, dealing 7 damage and costing 7 SP!
