Sunset and Sandkit's chat

Sunset sat waiting by the fresh-kill pile for Sandkit.

"I'm here Sunset" Sandkit exclimed as she paded up to her future mentor,her coat nice and sleak

"Ah, yes, Sandkit. I was looking for you!"
She said, greeting the kit.

"What did you want to see me about?" Sandkit asked inteively

"To ask you one simple question."

Sandkit sat down and rapped her tail around her paws,"well, what is it?"

"What is a warrior?"
She said simply.

Sandkit looked at Sunset affuly starteled,"Well warriors are cats in the clan who have been apprentices themselfs and are ready to train apprentices, they also protect their clan at the cost of their LIFE!!! and obey the warrior code!!! you are a warrior Sunset!and I will be a warrior one day too!!!why did you ask?"

"Yes."
She said gravely,
"A warrior is a cat that has trained and has been an apprentice and is willing to die at the cost of his or her life. Yes. I am a warrior. Yes. You will be a warrior. But more than that, a warrior is strong. But, strong does not completely matter. There is always wise. Search for wisdom. There is also strategies. Strategies are a necessity to all, especialy Clan leaders. There is speed. A helpful thing to come by. you must remember mercy and the judging of right from wrong. Then, the last and single most important factor. The warrior code. A warrior is not a warrior without. A warrior is just a cat, living its own ways in ruin and pity. Take these words to heart:

I see a great warrior in you. Tell me, are you going to be this warrior?"

Sandkit knew this was becoming serious"I will!"

"Then listen to me now; When cats tell you that you must be strong to be succesful, tell them otherwise. More than strength is needed in this life. Most believ that they need to be strongest, to be able to dispatch of others quickly. No, Sandkit, that is wrong. You need heart."

"Yes Sunset, I belive you"Sandkit bows her head in respect

"Go now. Rest, and be ready to train tomorrow."
She said, getting to her paws and stalking away inside the warriors' den.

Sandkit padded bake over to the Nursery, for the last time
