Cat Name: Basilkit

Tom, She-Cat, or Nonbinary: She-Cat

Appearance: Basil is a long-furred, fluffy tortoiseshell she-cat with a mottled pattern, very alike to her mother.  She has wispy, wild strands of fur that stick out from her ears and tail that she can never seem to groom down and a small leathery black nose.  Her big eyes are bright amber flecked with yellow, giving off the impression of sunlight.  Basil is quite skinny and lacking in muscle, giving her a fragile figure.  She is small for her age, and despite how much she eats she can never seem to gain much weight.

Personality: Basil is strong of heart, but weak of body.  Following a very scary birth where she was almost pronounced a stillborn, she was able to be resuscitated by a medicine cat; however, that was only the start of her troubles.  All her life Basil will be weak; her heartbeat sounds odd, she can barely run without feeling like she'll pass out, and even the normal day to day actions of a cat can leave her weary.  However, Basil has found a profound sense of optimism in all this, and strives to be as positive as possible to keep spirits high.  She is very kind and generous, loving to spend her time helping others to the best of her ability, but often pushes herself too far beyond her means.  She has a great sense of humor, and one of her first goals when she meets someone new is to try and figure out how to make them laugh.  She is dedicated to her family and friends, and adores every cat in her life.  However, sometimes she can be a bit reckless in her efforts to live a normal existence; she has an independence streak, and wishes that she could explore and hunt and do everything a normal cat could do.  Secretly, she resents the fact that she was born this way, and considers herself a burden and disappointment to the clan, and though she is good at hiding it there is a deep sense of sadness within her.
