A challenger approached the arena. A challenger that was so violent and terrifying... that the Asylum ordered him to be a Pelt Ward so that the Nightstrikers wouldn't all just give up on everything and go back to their homelands. This loathsome, foul creature approached the area with nothing but death burning in his soft green eyes. Upon his back and draped around his shoulders was a rabbit pelt the color of shadow and flames itself (for real tho). Parvus the Pelt Ward... 100% pure Singapura bloodline... stopped at the edge of the arena and watched the warriors wrestle. One alone caught his eye, and he started in that warrior's direction.

"You look lonely..." Parvus said in a dramatically deep voice, very clearly a fake one trying to sound as intimidating as possible. "The Blood Buck of Skull Steppe challenges you to a wrestling match!" He raised his voice, and he wasn't able to hold the deeper tones for very long. His voice cracked closer to the end, to which Parvus quickly tried to cover up as a tickle in his throat that he quickly tried to clear. "There is no shame in refusing this challenge, Clan of Shadows Cat." I should have gone with that name... that's so much more... edgy. Oops. Whatever... I'll use that title next time. Parvus hunkered low to the ground... with his paws misaligned and his balance terribly off. He'd never fought a real fight a day in his life... but Murkystrike didn't need to know that.

Parvus the Pelt Ward has challenged Murkystrike!

Murkystrike turned her head from where she had casually been watching Mistyfalcon's spar to gaze at the cat that was approaching, and resisted the urge to flash her teeth at the bizarre cat that stood before her. An oddly colored rabbits pelt was draped over him, and it matched the odd features the tom boasted. The strangest part though was his voice, it seemed so out of place, far too deliberate to be normal... Something that was confirmed once his voice cracked. With a small grin, she stood and faced the tom fully, dropping into a low crouch. "In your dreams, Blood Buck of Skull Steppe. I accept your challenge." She mewed, lowering her voice to mimic the tone he had used as she repeated his title. After a heartbeat, she flicked her tail and flung herself at the tom, hoping to catch him slightly off-guard and send him rolling.

Parvus opened his mouth for some kind of retort, but was cut short by a sudden rush of wind... coming from him. He managed to steady himself a bit... with a huge amount of effort. His labored breathing was enough to cover the area in a thick mist. He did manage to get his footing, but he wasn't about to waste breath talking anymore. He did his best to push back against the bigger cat and do... something.

Ebonysong sighed at the chaos of the cats sparring, before looking around for an opponent herself. Mistyfalcon had just won a match, Murkystrike was sparring with an Asylum cat. Sitting back onto her haunches, Ebonysong waited for someone to challenge her. These types of games were...interesting, but she would much prefer to go to a Gathering. "Alright, anyone up for some sparring?"

Ebonysong is up for any challenger

Murkystrike's eyes narrowed as the tom retaliated, and she stepped away slightly to try to get a new angle. In the moment, it was difficult to keep her claws sheathed, as this tom smelled of Asylum and the pelt did no favors, but every time her claws threatened to slip out she retracted them quickly, not wanting to mess up these games. Lunging forward once again, she looped a paw around the tom's hind leg.

Parvus himself struggled to keep his claws sheathed, but only because he was desperately trying to keep his footing. He managed to keep them hidden behind little bean toes for now. As the larger cat looped a leg, Parvus wrapped his forelegs around it and used to to steady himself. In doing so, perhaps he could use it... somehow... to trip up his much larger opponent.

Murkystrike stumbled, surprised that the tom had managed to trip her up. Her tail flicked side to side as she spun around, hoping to make this hit the last. Waiting for her opportunity, she finally started around his side and attempted to bowl him over.

Parvus was hardly able to comprehend the other cat's movements before he could react. Fighting was hard. He zipped around, barely dodging legs and paws before making some attempt to once again trip his larger adversary. Alas, the smaller cat let out a huff as he was scooped and tossed to the snow. He wiggled uncomfortably beneath the larger cat's paw.

"Okay okay!" he wiggled in the snow, trying to get up, but to no avail. What an embarrassing lose... he blamed his stage name. It hadn't been cool enough.
