Pebblepaw lifted his head in surprise when Thrushpaw moved in front of him. Pebblepaw was already backing away but he wondered why Trushpaw would want to go anywhere near that thing. "Whats ares yous gonnas tries?" He whispered, his tail low and ears flat. He lifted his muzzle just as the she-cat leaped at the owl, pinning it. He crouched down, slowly coming forwards. "Its looks weaks... Can we kill it?" He sniffed at the thrashing bird, flinching away when one of it's wings almost hit him. He shook his head. "Maybes it's mores realistics to gets its to flies aways.." He ran up to it and scratched at it's face. It struggled away from him, getting weaker with every flap. He backed away, preparing for the owl to break free.

ooc: it only does damage on the turn of the cat who used Leap-and-Hold, so on your previous turn, the owl would only lose the -6 health from Pebblepaw’s attack!

The owl flailed beneath Thrushpaw, trying to dislodge her; she hooked her claws deeper into its feathers with a snarl. Pebblepaw approached cautiously, then darted forward to scratch its face. Over the struggle, she heard his voice. An owl would make an impressive addition to the fresh-kill pile, especially since the only other prey they’d caught was Thrushpaw’s mouse—but she’d been wounded, as the sticky feeling on her cheek reminded her. Pebblepaw was probably hurt, too. Though she didn’t mind Daisybloom or Mossbloom, she’d already spent too much of her apprenticeship on healing. Besides, she doubted Pebblepaw’s mentor would be happy with her if she landed him in the medicine den. “We should—chase it off,” she grunted as the owl’s thrashing resumed in earnest. She dug into its back again, but to no avail; it broke free from her grip. As it rose, she took one last swipe at its belly, then spun around to rejoin Pebblepaw, bristling down to the end of her tail.

Thrushpaw used Belly Rake on Owl, dealing 7 damage and using 10 stamina.
