Sitting in Camp

Lilacpaw sat in the camp, the sun tickling her white and black fur. She shifted her tail slightly so it sat in the sun too, it was was warmer than usual. She felt awkward, lonely in some way, even though there were many cats beside her. Lilacpaw watched as a leaf fell slowly and landed on her black paw, and she shooed it away as it landed on another cat's tail.

Cleaning her paw before, Ebonykit froze as she felt something strange on her tail. It felt light... flaky. So weird. What was it?
Her mind explored what could be possible, her imagination doing her no favor. With a gasp, she jumped a rabbit's hops away and
shrieked, "Adder!" The she-kit landed on her feet and spun around, seeing nothing but a large leaf that went astray. It didn't
register in her mind though. She looked and saw Lilacpaw. "Did you see it?" Ebonykit meowed, spinning around in a quick circle.
"Where'd it go?"

Soulkit had watched Lilacpaw brush the leaf away and saw it land on Ebonykits tail, now he couldn't control his laughter, rolling onto his back in amusment.
"You though that was an adder, you mouse-brain, it was a leaf, he purred, lying on his side.
