And Into the Fire [Mini-plot]

So this is a mini-plot for Nettlepaw, and by extension, her brother Mistwalker. The main action of the plot involves Nettlepaw getting badly injured. It consists of two main topics, both of which have open spots to sign up for!:

Topic/Event 1:

In the middle of a patrol outing, a storm starts and quickly strengthens to the point of clearly being dangerous. The patrol group decides to turn around, but on the way back to camp, lightning strikes a tree above the patrol, and a large, flaming branch crashes downward, directly in line to hit one of the patrol members [Cat A]. Nettlepaw, who is closest in proximity to Cat A, notices the branch and knocks Cat A out of the way. The branch itself doesn’t hit Nettle, but she does get caught in the branch’s flames, and while she manages to put them out, she has already been badly burned and passes out shortly after from the pain. The rest of the patrol manage to get her back to camp to the medicine den.

Topic/Event 2 (in-character takes place several days after Topic 1):

Nettlepaw has still not recovered and has been drifting in and out of consciousness, and it appears some of her wounds have become infected, making it yet unclear whether or not she will survive. Mistwalker, Nettle’s brother, has a discussion with another cat who attempts to comfort him by talking about StarClan, and telling him that whatever happens to his sister, it’s part of StarClan’s plan, thinking this will help. It doesn’t.

1. Cat who tries to comfort Mistwalker: Lynxtail

After these two topics I’ll probably also post an open topic with Nettle still in camp recovering from her injuries, so even if you don’t participate in the plot itself please feel free to come chat with her then! :)

Dawnpaw’s in the middle of her warrior ceremony right now, so I can volunteer her as the warrior/cat A if you’re willing to wait a bit? Plus the added intrigue of Dawn being Nettle and Mist’s adopted sister, but of course they can always interact outside of the mini plot if you decide you want a different warrior.

Lynxtail could be the cat to comfort mistpaw! it's a pretty IC thing for him to do, esp. if it doesn't end up actually working.

I'm willing to wait, so I'll put Dawn down as Cat A! Just let me know when her warrior ceremony is finished
