Marry the Grouse {marriage for peace anyone?}

Right now this plot is unapproved. I want to get a feel for who would be interested.


Grousepaw is a WindClan apprentice who thinks far too highly of himself due to his bloodline. He is convinced that while he does need to choose a mate to keep WindClan going strong; and having kits is what he views as the most effecient way to ensure this, there aren't really many she-cats in his age bracket that aren't related to him. During a gathering, he strikes an interest with the daughter of a high-ranking cat in another clan (leader or deputy) and thinks over possible uses of the relationship.

While most cats become mates out of love, Grousepaw is driven instead by the need to prove himself in the clan by providing the best of everything. In this case, he views the relationship as a way to highten WindClan's strength by ensuring the alliance of the clan of his mate. He poses the idea of the alliance to Finchstar, telling him about his wish to pursue the she-cat but that he is unwilling to break the code. The hope is that the leader of the she-cat's clan will agree, if they will lend support to each other during hard times ahead. The pair would technically belong to their own clans, but would alternate between staying at both, the exchange taking place quietly at the gatherings.

This plot needs:

1 Leader (besides Finchstar who would agree)
Potentially 1 Deputy
and 1 She-cat of apprentice age or Young Warrior. (He'll be a warrior himself soon)
