Hunting patrol

Sunpaw searched the underbrush for prey

Feather sniffed in some bracken for a rabbit, but the scent was stale.
"All these scents are stale, it's like the prey knows that were coming. How about we try near the Thunderpath? The trees over there look a lot more lush."
She said, already walking over, signaling for Sunpaw to come to.

She shook her head.
"We arent going to see Brambleflame, yah know."
Let's try somewhere else."

Feather shook her head.
"I dont mind about Brambleflame. Hes just a hot head. Your not scared of him right?"
She said, needling her friend into going to the thunderpath with her.

"No, I am not scared of that pile of fox dung!"
She growled.
"But someone could get injured if that stupid
Redpelt is around."

Feather flinched, she had to play the part though.
"Well, I think we can take them, its not like were going to waltz right up onto ShadowClan territory, we wont even be at the Thunderpath, well be in the woods beside them."
She said matter-of-factly.

She sighed. Sunpaw knew she
wanted her to go with her.
"Ok," she said, "But if we
meet Redpelt or Brambleflame,
you can count on blood being spilled!"

Feather snorted when they reached the edge of the brush, and the slab of blak stone, that was the thunderpath, loomed infront of them.
"Lets go a litttle farther into the woods, even if they do come, we wont see them."
She said, sniff a mouse out, and getting in a hunters crouch. But the mouse heard them and ran away, even though Featherpaw jumped for it, she didnt make it.
"Fox dung!!"
She said smelling out a squirrel that was running around in the leaves nearby.

Leopardheart watched the apprentices quietly from a branch.

Feather stalked the squirrel on light paws the lunged. But the squirrel heard something in the branches and scuried off.
"Fox dung!"
She said, cuffing the dirt. When she saw a vole scamper by she didnt flinch and started to follow it in a hunters crouch.
