A strange dream...

Deadkit sat up and looked around. He was in a misty forest, the scents of many seasons filling his scent glands. His fur shot up when a cat
emerged from the bushes ahead, his gray fur turned to silver. "Who are y-you?" Deadkit stammered, forcing his pelt flat.
The cat did not answer immediately, nor did he answer Deadkit's question.
"Follow the path of the dead star..." he murmured gravely, his wisdom-filled eyes blazing. Deadkit squealed when he realized
the cat was fading. "No!" he yowled, "What did you mean?"

Deadkit awoke back in the Dream Territory, no longer in the fog-shrouded clearing. He shuddered at the words of the starry cat, what did they mean?
"Could someone please tell me what this means?" he moaned aloud.

Deadkit turned his head slowly towards the other two cats. "D-did you hear what he told me?"
Deadkit stammered. "He told me to...... Follow the path of the dead star? What's that supposed to mean? Is he talking about my name? My name's not Deadstar!" he wailed. It was all so confusing, but he thought it might be something about his future. "Why give a prophecy to me now? Why not when I'm a warrior?"

Deadkit, if you mean to be 'DeadSTAR',
then you are sadly mistaken. It's highly unlikely
that a specific cat would become the leader due
to his own prophecy.
EVERYONE wants to be a leader or a meddie,
but only one gets that position. If in the future,
they announce that in your clan, when you're a warrior,
someone else is the deputy, you would be wasting your life's dreams.

look people, the omen doesn't mean I will become leader, it just means my future will be as bright as a star (like I will have a wonderful mate and kits when I'm older, I will be a great mentor, e.t.c) Sorry if you misunderstood me.

Yes, I realize that. If I want that rank, I will have to be patient, for there are many, more experienced cats before me. My only ambitions now are to be the best warrior as I can, and find a suitable mate for myself.
