i have to memorize atmosphere, exosphere, thermosphere, mesosphere, stratosphere, and troposphere as an example of some vocab words: not only know what layer of the earth they make up but also what their function is, help please

the only one i know is atmosphere ;^;

if i remember, troposphere holds the clouds and does all the nice weather stuff. It's the layer directly above earth.

Stratosphere is right above that, the second layer from earth. This one is pretty much just a shield that sucks up ultraviolet light and radiation so we don't die. Contains almost all of the ozone layer

Mesosphere is number 3, i can't remember anything about this one :,0

Thermosphere is the next one, again, i can't remember what this does

Exosphere is easy to remember the placement, as it's on the very outside (exosphere=exitsphere) it's important because it's the fist to come into contact with sun rays, space debris, meteors, etc.

if i had to guess, the thermosphere would retain/reflect heat away from the sun (solely because the prefix "therm-" means heat)
