Mothpaw's Moonstone Journey

It was early in the afternoon and the deputy was yet again getting ready to take an apprentice to the Moonstone. Young Mothpaw would be speaking with Starclan this time The tom had a bundle of traveling herbs by his paws. Swiftstep had already consumed his as he waited for the she-cat to arrive. He had called her a few moments ago so the younger cat should be heading his way now.

(Haven’t had times to actually post but I gotta get this done)

Mothpaw padded up to her deputy, her features screwed up with disgust at the bitter taste of the traveling herbs. “I’m ready.” She meowed as she approached Swiftstep.

IC: Swiftstep nodded with a smile and beckoned the younger cat to follow his lead. The pair set off on an exciting journey to the Moonstone!

~Time Skip~

The deputy and apprentice had made it to their destination as Silverpelt began to cover the night sky. Swiftstep, the whole way there, pointed out interesting facts about each landmark as they passed them. Mothpaw was very behaved the whole way. The dart across the Thunderpath seemed to give them both adrenaline to continue walking up to the tunnel opening.

Swiftstep nodded and began to step into the dark entrance. "Stay close to me Mothpaw. I don't want you hurting yourself in the dark." he instructed as they began their decent. Soon the duo reached a cavern where the glowing Moonstone sat. "Touch your nose to the Moonstone and a Starclan cat will speak with you." the tom said as he made himself comfortable by the exit.

Mothpaw followed quietly, deep in thought, throughout the journey to the Moonstone until they finally reached Mothermouth's gaping black hole. With a deep breath to steady her nerves, she gave a nod to her deputy before following closely behind him all the way through the winding tunnels. Finally, they reached the shimmering white stone, and her breath was immediately taken away from her. She was lost for word. It was beautiful. "It really is like the moon" She whispered in awe. Somehow she found the will to pad up to it and settle down before finally touching her nose to the cold stone.

Soon, she was awake in a star-filled moor. Everything was stars. Even the ground! As she was staring around in awe, another cat was approaching her, but she was too engrossed in her surroundings to notice.
