Evening Patrol [Open]

Mistywater began to head to ThunderClan's Camp entrance, everything was still so new since her return. It had been ages since her last patrol, so leading one wouldn't be familiar in any way since her memory was becoming quite short as of lately.

The senior warrior soon began to notice the sun beginning to set, the perfect time to start a patrol and head out. Although, she needed more than herself to get the job done. So, that mean't patients, which Mistywater always seemed to have. And as the she began to sit down and wait the entrance, she noticed that the evening sky was beginning to turn a beautiful pinkish-orange, fading into a delicate purple which the senior warrior knew would mean that the darker night sky would creep in any moment, so the patrol would have to gather quickly.

ooc: I don't have a patrol for Daypaw, hope you don't mind!

ic: Daypaw was finishing up her meal near the fresh-kill pile. It was a plump mouse. She licked the last of the scraps from her face before noticing a long-haired cat trudge toward the entrance of camp. A patrol! she thought, tail raised high as she trotted over to Mistywater, stopping behind the she-cat's large, fluffy tail. She noticed her gazing up at the sky, and her eyes followed. The sky was so beautiful this evening. Though, they would have to hurry any potential patrols before sundown. "Hey Mistywater, are you going on a patrol?" mewed the young apprentice. "I'll tag along, if that's okay." Daypaw's eyes were gleaming with excitement. She was eager to exhaust herself before going to sleep tonight.

Mistywater passed the apprentice a friendly smile, "I wouldn't mind if you joined one bit," Mistywater started, "Although you may have to wait just a few more moments, we'll need more than two cats to make this patrol successful." Mistywater mewed, winking at the young cat joyfully. Although Mistywater knew many cats were settling down, she understood it was important to keep their territory watched, especially since attacks may be more common during the moons hours since cats were usually dozing and are much more sensitive during the night. Hopefully all goes well... Mistywater thought, although usually many patrols were quiet and didn't involve any attacks from outside cats or unwanted visitors since ThunderClan's Territory was quite safe and always protected.

Dewpaw bounded over to her adoptive mother and Daypaw "Are you going on patrol? Can I join?" She shuffled her paws. She had asked way too many questions to someone she didnt know, being the awkward cat she was, she spaced out, it seemed like she was just staring at Daypaw.

Mistywater nodded, knowing that even though, Dewpaw was asking the question to Daypaw, she still answered, "We are, are you planning on joining?" Mistywater asked, "I'd assume that's why you're here." Mistywater playfully added in, laughing softly at her words. She looked around, hoping that they could fit in at least one more cat, although three would be a fine group as well and Mistywater knew that the two apprentices who had joined were quite strong. "If we can fit one more cat in that would be perfect," the she mewed, "Although, us as a group is just as good." Mistywater added.

Daypaw nodded in understanding to Mistywater, settling down next to her, curling her tail over her paws. She noticed a flash of silver fur bouncing towards them. She gave a nod of acknowledgement to the fellow apprentice. "Hey, Dewpaw," she greeted warmly. The cream-colored tabby waited alongside the other two ThunderClan cats, eagerly hoping someone would join. Her eyes were scanning the clearing of camp for a feasible warrior or apprentice. Perhaps they would have to set off as a trio.

Mistywater sighed, seeing as no other cats were coming forwards to join them, she began to speak, "Perhaps it's best to leave for the patrol now, I spot no other ThunderClan cats willing to join us this evening." Mistywater mewed as she began to turn towards the entrance, leaving the camp with high hopes of a successful and easy patrol. The senior warrior was happy that they didn't wait any longer, it would be far past evening if that had waited another few minutes as it would become far too dark for them to go out. So, it was probably best to start the patrol just so that their eyes would not only adjust earlier to the darkness, but so that they could somewhat entertain themselves and not have to wait any longer for other cats to join them.

"We'll move a little farther out, I need you two to just mark the territory and check to see if there's any predators, I'll do the same. We can move out to start hunting afterwards." Mistywater ordered, "Remember that we always serve the elders, queens, and kits first and that we never eat outside of camp!" The senior warrior reminded the two as she began to mark the territory with her body.
