Featherpaw's hunting practice

Leopardheart waited for Featherpaw patiently.

Featherpaw bounded out infront of Leapordheart and skidded to a stop.
"Hello, Leapordheart. Sorry that I am late. What are we doing today?"
She asked excitedly, energetically.

Leopardheart grinned, amused. "I thought we could do some hunting practice."

Featherpaw's eyes brightened and her tail swished excitedly but when she spoke it was calm and cool.
"Oh really? Can we go now or are we waiting for someone else?"

"We're going just by ourselves." Leopardheart bounded out of camp.

Featherpaw followed her, trying to contain herself. She wanted to run to Mothermouth and back, she was so excited. Her first huntin session!
"So what will we be looking for? And what techniques will we use?"
She asked in a whisper that was barely there. She opened her mouth and tasted the air.
''What does a mouse taste like in the air?"
She asked filled with quesitons.

Leopardheart laughed. "Calm down. Now, taste the air. What do you smell?"

Featherpaw parted her jaws once more and tasted the air. There was a delicious, familia scent that she remember sniffing from a rabbit.
"I smell a rabbit?"
She asked Leapordheart, unsure if the prey was a rabbit or of there was even any prey around.

Leopardheart grinned. "Good," she whispered. "Now, its over there. Watch me," she said. Creeping up slowly, she lunged for the rabbit at the last second and struggled with it for a few seconds before the prey went limp.

OCC; For your sake, imma ignore the dice roll rule XD

OCC: hmm, sounds risky but whatever you say mentor XD

IC: Featherpaw watched Leapordheart lung gracefully through the air, her then spring upon the rabbit. Her paws itched to try.
"I doubt i could do that."
She whispered at Leapordheart, her eyes fixed on the large amout of prey.
"When I catch my first prey does that mean that im allowed to go to gatherings under Highrock?"
She asked Leapordheart as she cat scrapped dirt over the rabbit.

Leopardheart grinned. "Goldenstar will let you go to gatherings whenever she sees fit. But meanwhile, see if you can get that mouse over there."

OCC: since we arent using the dice, what do i do? Catch it or not?

IC: Featherpaw nodded respectufully and got into the crouch she'd seen Leapordheart do best she could. She parted her jaw to smell for the mouse and walked slowly inch by inch towards it.

OCC: Just catch.

Featherpaw had heard that a mouse would hear you before it smelled you, so she walked catiously until she was two whiskers lenghts behind it the pounce, and stepped on the mouse's neck till she heard a bone crunch. She picked up the prey in her mouth and padded towards Leapordheart and dropped it at her feet.
"Am I going to take this to the elders?"
She asked her mentor.

Leopardheart grinned. "Great job! Yes, take it to the elders."
