A Summary Magpiewing's life as leader was all too stressful for the tom to handle. It was dropped on his lap too suddenly, and with the rising tension between clans with RiverClan and ThunderClan's war, he couldn't take it. Anxiety and pressure broke him, causing him to step down rather unceremoniously. Regret filled his life. Regret over his failures as leader, regret over his inability to cope, regret over all of the things that caused his fears. While the clan was supportive, his guilt pushed him to often leave camp, spending all day and night hunting or patrolling to limit his encounters with ShadowClan. He felt as if he betrayed them, as if he was too weak to even be a warrior for them. Perhaps they would be better off without him.
Unfortunately for him, StarClan had granted his wish to be whisked away from any leftover responsibilities. But StarClan worked in mysterious ways. They either had a sense of humour, or had planned for him to suffer for his decisions. Whatever it was, his carriage away came in the form of his worst nightmare. Twolegs.
He was quickly sold off to a young family, a caring couple and their toddler. The tom was devastated, the trauma from his first capture resurfacing within the night. He needed to go home. He wanted to go home. It didn't matter how much his clanmates looked down on him, anything was better than this. But he couldn't escape. He was what they called "an indoor cat". And all of his fears from long ago came back, consuming his heart and mind. He became afraid. He became complacent. He became a kittypet.
His memories of the forest faded away. They were locked in the deepest part of his heart, seemingly becoming a distant dream rather than his reality. Magpiewing was gone, and Jude had taken his place.
The Plot Magpiewing, currently known as "Jude" the kittypet will return. After a series of events listed below, he will make his return to the forest, although his journey back to his family might take a slight detour.
- It begins with a recap, probably a copy-paste of the summary there because lazy
- His twolegs decide to pack up and move to the countryside, far away from their current home.
- Whilst driving down the Thunderpath, something (presumably a clan cat) jumps out into the road, causing them to swerve out of control.
- Jude's cat carrier was only loosely bound in the back of their pick up truck, and as the car flips over, rolling down the road, it comes loose and is tossed down into WindClan territory.
- Emergency responders arrive at the scene, drag the twolegs off to the hospital but don't see his carrier in the tall grass.
- A patrol arrives at the scene, having heard the blast from the car crash and loud sirens only to find the locked carrier and a plump kittypet waiting patiently inside.
- After discovering a way to open the cage, Jude asks for help as he is injured from the crash. Somehow he's not frightened by this comparatively skinny cats, and seems to know about their clan despite never encountering it in his kittypet life.
- The patrol leads him back to Brindlestar for her to decide what to do.
I cannot speak for Seer or any others, but what I hope to accomplish is that;
- Jude joins WindClan, becoming an apprentice under careful watch
- He fits in quite well with an innate knowledge of hunting and other staple skills for cats in the clan
- Because of his life as a pampered kittypet, his lack of relations with WindClan cats, and the time between his disappearance and reappearance, not many cats would recognize him. For those who suspect something, there are no big clues that would give them solid evidence. Any scars or such (i.e. the scar around his paw) would realistically not be easily recognized by some cat that didn't know him personally. The only cats who would know would be from ShadowClan.
- At his 'first' gathering, his family and close friends may be able to recognize him, but without seeing him closely, cannot be sure.
- A few private topics happen, and somehow he comes face to face with Littlestar, Larksong, Mudfoot, or any other cats who he had a close relationship with. While for them it's easy to tell who he is, his lack of clear memories leaves him flustered and clueless to who they are.
Shenanigans will probably ensue, his life becomes breath of the wild, he has to collect memories and then joins SC and knocks some chick up with his magic balls.
The Patrol Ideally, since it would be to investigate a large sound, the patrol would include more senior warriors, although any age works. The first topic should not last long, and while we will be patient, we will not wait more than 3 days for a post. If it's day 3 and I haven't posted, please yell at me. A maximum of 4 in the patrol, a minimum of 2. NPCs can be used in their stead. Again, it won't be the most eventful topic, but will require time for the patrol to break the cage open.
