Darkpaw and Lightningkits stroll

Darkpaw padded beside Lightningkit and spoke:
Today I will teach you how to hunt.

" Cool. What am I supposed to do?" Lightningkit asked.She was very eager to learn how to hunt and stuff.

Darkpaw's eyes slid off Lightning and towards some shakeing brambles.
Watch me, carefully.
She crept down low and started to walk towards the brambles her paws moveing smoothly across the twigs and leavs. She leaped. A vole shot out of the brambles with Darkpaw on its heals. She reached out with a claw and slashed the mouse and cllaimed its life.

" That was awesome!" Lightningkit smelled the air. " Darkpaw, what's that smell?" She asked, after smelling the most mouth-watering thing she thought she would ever smell.

Its the smell of a bird.

"What kind? It smells really good," Lightningkit asked. She couldn't wait to try to catch something. She really wanted to catch it.

Chaffinch. Let me teach you how to hunt. Okay crouch low to the ground.

Lightningkit did as darkpaw told her to. " Like this?" She whispered.

yes now keep all your weight off your paws. now silently creep towards the bushes and chase the bird as far as you can. I can follow your cent trail. Now go!

Lightningkit kept crouching, ran as fast and lightly as she could towards the bird. She pounced. it scrambled away from her. She chased it for a little, but then gave up. There'll be other preyShe though.

Darkpaw stopped dead. Lightningkit, stop! Come back!

Lightningkit ran back to Darkpaw. " What?" She asked.

I smell fox!

" Fox.... My mom told stories about foxes.... We'll be okay though? Rght?" Lightningkit said nervously, remembering the stoies.

Oh, no Lightningkit. I can Barely beat Firelight!
