Leopardheart's hackles rose. "I DIDNT!"

Sunpaw took a deep breath.
"i will beleive you this time...."
pain filled her eyes.
"i never meant to suspect you..
you are a good,no, GREAT friend,
i would never suspect you of anything.
But.... ShadowClan alliances? thats...
thats just so farfetched........
i-i would never believe it if any other
cat told me....but now.... i wish i didnt
know..." she turned away.

"Sunpaw, I'm not telling ANYONE about what i just heard... And Goldenstar losing a life, AND Brightfire dieing, they both seemed like they were set up with a ThunderClan cat..." He mewed, "Tigerfrost left camp, EXACTLY when Goldenstar was on our territory, and she made us patrol as soon as BrightFire got to the Thunderpath.."

she shook her head.
"i dont think me being in the same clan would change anything. if i know you, i know you would tell tigerfrost..."

"I won't tell Tigerfrost! I promise,"

"ok..."
She sat down and groomed herself.
"do you still want to kill me?"
she asked between licks.

"No," He mewed.

Leopardheart put both paws on her head. "It feels like the world's taking on a red haze ever since I made the promise to Tigerfrost. But I wanted to do whatever I could to help my clan. Now, I walk wiht a paw in both worlds."

Sunpaw felt bad. she didnt know how much stress it was, but she guessed it was alot.

Leopardheart batted at a blade of grass miserably. "This looks blooody to me."

"What promise?"

Leopardheart looked at Bramblepaw with a weary gaze. "I promise that I will never stop double guessing myself over."

Leopardheart looked at her paws silently.
