Lately a lot of plots involving a fox killing/mauling RC cats and the desire to make Sootwhisper come back instead of him being the cat I might kill off cuz I have no idea what to do with him (As well as my new free time) gave life to this idea.
The idea is for a patrol of 2-3 cats, apprentices only, walks near one of Sootwhisper’s favorite fishing spots while he is there. Not long after the infamous fox makes an appearance once more and, alerted by the apprentices’ voices, Sootwhisper runs to protect the younger cats and fight the fox for once and for all.
At the end of the battle, the fox will be at last killed, bringing justice to all those it had killed before on Sootwhisper’s eyes…but given his rush to protect the apprentices from becoming its next victims and the determination to kill it will come to a price for the tom. He will be seriously injured by the battle.
In a second topic happening right after this one he will arrive to the camp, carrying the body of the dead fox and aided by the apprentices as he is clearly in no way fit to even walk on his own after the fight, only able to keep going by sheer will-power. With pride he will present the dead fox to his mother and claim to had avenged those it once killed…before collapsing in the middle of camp and passing out, overwhelmed by his injuries.
He won’t die, as the medicine cat will be able to save his life in the very last second. However, the fight will leave him crippled and with several new scars, some broken bones taking away the agility and strength he once had even after they are healed, and having a clear limp on his front right leg as it won’t heal properly thanks to the rushed treatment and somewhat old herbs of leafbare.
