From friend to enemy

Marshpaw is a cat with something to prove. His return to the forest has been met with pain and more pain, but he has a reason and a will to pull through. His path is to be a great warrior, one his great Nephew and Thunderclan can be proud of. On the way to his goal, he will make some friends, a mate, and some enemies, but one of these friends is closer than the others.

Marshpaw will respect him, and work hard to get in the clan's good books to be like him. Unfortunately, as he does this, the friend begins to feel threatened. Distance develops between them which slowly turns to jealousy as the former friend looks at Marshpaw who wasn't even born into the clan holding a measure of respect he desired.

This slowly spirals into a one-sided hatred, and one day, Marshpaw says something that accidentally offends the enemy so badly he strikes back. Whether it's the blow itself or an accident, Marshpaw will die in the middle of camp.

For clarification; I don't mind him having a male mate, as long as that mate is okay with him having kits with a she-cat (an NPC perhaps) at some point. I would like for him to have some descendants living on past him.

Yeah Sunleap would def be okay with it so long as they raised the kits together?

They definitely could, even if the mother isn't an NPC.

Leopardclaw could be a friend :)  He wouldn't be super close and open to Marsh, but could be there to support and encourage him.  Plus, if it's common knowledge that he's Wolffang's brother, he would probably feel connected to him, since he helped save Wolfang back in the day, and was involved with Coyotefang.

He's said before that he's the son of Eagleheart and Hazeflight, I don't know if Wolffang ever directly mentioned her heritage or not ^^ Then again, he might confide that to Leopardclaw at some point. He has no idea what she did.

Leo knows, I remember, that Wolf was half-clan. With enough hints, he could probably put two and two together; and they could both confide what they know, since Leo has never told anyone that he helped get Wolf away from the clans.

Awesome! :D Plus maybe it could help the rival's tensions to grow, considering being friends with the deputy could boost your status a bit.

Why do you want this role?: Leafstorm holds all cats in high regards, no matter their origin. He was also very close with Coyotefang, and I think he'd try and get closer to Marshpaw because he's trying to find a bit of Coyote in him. He's a pretty heckin popular member of TC (if you're not his friend you're probably his grandkid) so that might be a bit of a status boost.
