A dream that I am... dreaming

"Better hunting next time?" She said a little unsure, but amused at the apprentices hunting skills.

"I almost had it!" He said, he raced after it, catching it.

Featherkit watched how he skillfully caught the snake. "Wow!" She said excitedly. "I cant wait till I become and apprentice! Maybe then I'd meet you in battle!" She said clawing at the air like she had seen some warriors do.

He said, "Battles aren't just scratching," He was about to teach her, "WEll actually you'll have battle practice soon.. Hey, eat the snake, i already know what it taste like.."

Featherkit stopped her pretend training and poked the snake with one paw. "Are you sure? It looks kinda.... spiky." She said staring at it wide eyed.

"taste it!"

"OK!" featherkit snarled at him like her mother would have done. She took a bite out of the snake, chewing it for a moment. "Hmm, not to bad. It kinda taste like a mouse's tail but in a good way, although the skins rough." She said putting the thought out of her mind as she ate her fill of snake. "you ahve some too, im full." She said.

He threw the rest in the air with his paw, then ate it in a couple of swift bites.

"Impressive." Featherkit said flatly. "Can you catch fish?" She asked him walking over to the river.

"I don't know.." he said, trying.
