Do you believe in magic? (Role-play)

Alice smiled. "No, I'm fine." she looked towards where Ashley was looking and her smile faded. "All we can do is hide for now, heal up. The Dark One gives orders,
so we'll rest and train until his instructions. Sound good to you?" Her eyes had a questioning look in them as she looked to Ashley for an answer.

Ashley nodded. "Sounds just fine. Where do we hide? An abandoned house? Or out of the city?" she questioned Alice. The Dark Lord did not like to be kept waiting.

Alice frowned for a moment, then a smile appeared on her pale face. "I know a place.
But first, We need to get that leg of yours wrapped up. Wait right here." Alice stood up and headed into the nearest empty house, went to the window and tore down the curtains. Instead of taking the door, the werewolf broke the window and jumped out. Now crouching at Ashley's leg, Alice wrapped tha curtain around it tightly enough to keep it in place. It wasn't a medical masterpiece, but it was enough to stop the bleeding. Then she carefully picked Ashley up and bagan walking towards a place she knew was safe: her childhood home, which she hid out in when she was hurt.

Neon smiled as the werewolves turned into humans and started fleeing. His smile increased when he heard Myra call across the soldiers if they need healing. He only wanted bandages and some medicine. He'd prefer to patch up his own wounds rather than someone else. Finally noting of the pain in his cuts, he walked towards Myra with the others.

She gave a small wince of pain, which was quickly replaced with relief. The bleeding had stopped. Ashley allowed herself to be carried, a small look of mild curiosity on her face as they neared the house. "You know this place, huh?" she asked softly, her voice was faint but clear as she spoke to Alice.

Though there were a million places Myra would rather be than healing a bunch of soldier's cuts, she was glad she could help them out. She poofed herself down from the roof and onto the ground below the castle, and soon many were gathered around her. She was sure that she didn't like the attention, but forced herself to stay there. Opening her box of remedies, she soothed scratches, healed cuts, and bandaged wounds. After a few guys had came and left, there was was one brown haired man that caught her eye. Not from his appearance or his wounds, but by a familiar feeling she could sense. Her gaze fell to the sword he was carrying and realized it was the source of the aura. She could distinctly feel the small bit of magic radiating from it. After taking care of some scratches and a particularly nasty wound on his arm, she looked him in the eye and smiled.
"Nice sword you got there. Keep magic like that safe." After saying those words, she waved him off and started on the next person, but not quite as focused as she had been before. She had identified the magic from the sword, so why was it him that she kept thinking about? Trying to push those thoughts out of her mind she continued healing each soldier, but the guy with the sword lingered in the back of her mind.

Alice nodded. "Yeah, I grew up in a house just on the outskirts of the city. It's not my favourite place in the world, but there's food, a bed and a fireplace, so it's ideal." Alice tried not to remember her childhood, the pain and the abandonment. That was over now.

As she stepped into the familiar building, she smiled at the sight of the bed. A place for Ashley to rest. She lay Ashley down on the bed and straightened out her legs as to not hurt her broken one, then got to work finding food. She rummaged around the cupboards and found a packet of dried meat and a tin of preserved meat; the only things that had not gone off. "Sorry you have to eat this dried kibble, but it's all there is." She handed the packet to Ashley. "We can go hunting for better meat once you heal enough to stand."

Ashley nodded. "Sorry for all the trouble" she spoke uneasily. She stroked the soft covers of the bed and gave a swift nod of approval. "If you want to hunt, use this." Ashley said, removing the sheath of arrows from her back and handing it to Alice, along with the bow. Ashley accepted the food gratefully and ate a couple strips of dried meat. It satisfied the growing hunger in her stomach, and she settled down in the bed. "Do you need me to do anything? "

Alice smiled. "It's alright, just rest here." As Ashley handed Alice the bow and arrows, Alice nodded gratefully and examined the bow. She wasn't too experienced with long-range weapons, but she remembered her teacher teaching her archery and she understood the basics. "Thank you. I'll be off then to catch something half decent." She threw her head back and laughed, blonde curls bouncing around her shoulders. As she stood up, Alice shot a flame into the fireplace, making sure the house would be warm. "Ciao, see ya later!" she called.

She headed out of the house and headed for the small forest nearby. She had spent a lot of time in these woods, hunting. She waited for a rustle of leaves as she loaded the bow with an arrow and stood, poised carefully. A rustle and a flash of ginger appeared- a fox. She drew back her arm, stretching the bowstring to the maximum. Her hand let go of the arrow and it went flying towards the creature. The arrow pierced the fox heart, too quick for the fox to even yelp. Alice retrieved the fox and slung it over her shoulder, searching for more prey.

Ashley smiled in appreciation, allowing herself to truly relax. The firelight illuminated her dark features, flickering warm light across her face. She fell back onto the bed, sinking into the soft material. For a second, something passed across her face, like a cloud floating past the sun. She was worried for Alice. The feeling soon passed as she remembered the bow. It had sharp arrows, surely she would be fine. She closed her dark eyes, drifting slowly into a deep, dreamless sleep as the fire kept her warm. Nothing could harm her here. Even her leg seemed less painful. Ashley smiled in her sleep, feeling truly at home for the first time in a while.

Soon, all the soldiers needing treatment had been healed. Myra snapped close her box of herbal remedies and such close, and Myra quickly disappeared in a cloud of orange smoke, reappearing at the base of her tower. Two thoughts were overpowering her mind. First of all, why did the Dark One want the werewolves to lose? It didn't make sense. She knew that they could have easily won if they had tried. The Dark One she remembered would have stopped at nothing to overthrow the kingdom, not caring how many for personal gain. But as confused as she was, she knew there must be a clever reason. To trick her maybe? Her mind boggled at the thought of how that was possible. Sighing, she let her mind travel to a not as pressing matter.
The man with the sword. She had discovered the magic was from his sword, so what was that feeling from the guy himself? It wasn't at all like any magic she had felt before, so what could it be? He wasn't much different from all the other people that she had treated that night. Feelings were so confusing. Putting away her box of medicine, she marched over to her bed and sat down, just realizing how tired she was. With a yawn she laid down, giving her mind a rest. She could think more about all of it tomorrow.

IC: Neon nodded at Myra and walked out and back to the Middle City. There, he went into his home and sat down on a mattress. He slid his sword into a cover and set it in a wall-mounted shelf. He sighed as his eyes went to the bandages covering the wound from the arrow. How could they even use arrows? Their claws would easily cut the string, and werewolves don't have the patience and precision to be archers. Who even gave them bows and arrows? He pushed the thoughts and questions to the back of his mind. He laid down and drifted to sleep. He had a nightmare about the attack, but the werewolves were bigger, faster, stronger. The kingdom was overpowered by them. He woke up deep in the night. It was strange how one thinks a dream is reality until they wake. Staring at the ceiling, he knew things would get difficult pretty soon.

Ashley awoke from her deep sleep by the pain in her leg. Her eyes flew open and she couldn't stop herself from letting out a gasp of pain. She winced slightly as she sat up, her dark eyes travelling down to her curtain-wrapped leg. It looked just like it did when she went to sleep, although spotted with small amounts of blood. Oh, great. It's started bleeding again, she thought to herself. Ashley looked out of the window, and she heard footsteps just outside the door.  She curled her hands into fists and looked around. "Who's there?" she called, a small trace of fear in her voice.

Alice poked her head round the door. "How's my patient?" she joked. Then she saw that Ashley was bleeding again. She dropped her kill by the door and rushed to the cupboards. She had a first aid kit here, she knew it. Her hands closed around a small white box and she pulled it out of the cupboard. She went over to Ashley's leg and carefully unwrapped it. It was beginning to swell. "Now, this will hurt quite a bit. Just keep still." she told Ashley, pulling a glass bottle full of green liquid out of the box. She put some of the liquid onto a bandage and dabbed it onto Ashley's swollen leg. That should stop the swelling. Now to clean your leg." Alice got a wooden basin, filled it with cold water and grabbed another bandage. She dipped the bandage into the water and cleaned the blood off of Ashley's leg. "There. Let's let it breathe for now."

Ashley let out a sigh of relief when she saw Alice, yet her face fell when she saw the look of worry on her face. Her dark eyes followed her when she went to the cupboards. She watched her unwrap the curtain, and she gave a brief nod. She gave a sharp intake of breath when she dabbed on the foul smelling liquid, and she squeezed her eyes shut to stop the tears. It really did hurt, yet she kept quite still. "I truly am sorry for all the trouble" she said, guilt in her voice. "So, did you catch anything?" she asked hopefully, swiftly changing the subject.
