Ember's Big Character Development Plot - Part One

So, I have a character development plot for my ShadowClan kitty, who’s still pending approval as of now. It's a really long-term plot, which is why you see a “Part One” up there in the title. To start with, let me just give you a basic description of Emberkit’s personality.

Emberkit’s a pacifist. In a way, it’s both her best and worst quality. Best quality, cause she becomes quite the peacemaker as a result and would seek to solve conflicts without any claws sliding out. Worst quality, cause she’s going to be a warrior and would be very stubborn about her beliefs.

Summarizing the whole plot would only make this long post longer, so let's just talk about Part One.

Part One is basically about how Emberkit became a pacifist, and it’s comprised of two threads.


At this time, Emberkit’s around 5 moons old (which is old enough for a kit to think and start questioning stuff, in my opinion). Her NPC mother (played by me) would take her and some kit friends a few pawsteps out of camp so they can explore and stuff.

But kits will be kits and after sniffing around for a bit, maybe 5 posts in the topic or so, they’d get bored and start playfighting instead. Emberkit’s still as playful and rowdy like a normal kit at this time, so she’d join in. Then at some point, Emberkit would run from one of her playmates and step (or fall?) on a thorn and get herself injured.

NPC mother will carry her back to the camp to have her treated, and it’s your choice whether you want your kit to follow her to the second thread or not.

Cats needed:
Kits who would participate in the playfight

Other Queens who want to participate (optional, though you can talk to Emberkit’s NPC mother so that all of you won’t notice Emberkit charging straight into a patch of thorns until it happens).

For this one, I would need the cooperation of at least one of the medicine cats, and a warrior who got injured by a cat from another Clan (this can serve as the thread where you replenish your HP and SP too). Note that Emberkit won’t be using the HP restoration system, since she didn’t get her wounds from a battle and wouldn’t be heading off to fight anything soon.

Here’s how I think it will go. While the medicine cat’s treating her wounds, Injured Warrior would come in and Medicine Cat would attend to them immediately. Emberkit would ask about his/her injuries, the warrior would answer honestly, and the story will flow from there until Emberkit starts thinking: “Why do cats have to hurt each other?”, “Why do I have to hurt other cats just so I can defend my Clan in the future?”, and “Why can’t I be a medicine cat instead?”

Cats needed:
One of ShadowClan’s medicine cats (or maybe both)

Warrior who was specifically injured by a cat from another Clan (the whole thing would lose its point if they were injured by a badger)

Hello! I can give you Owlkit for one of the playfight kits. He's really hyper and always ready to fight.

Does it have to be a warrior that accompanies Ember in the medicine cat's den?

@Steam: If you're talking about the injured cat, then yes, it can also be an apprentice. You might have to wait for a bit though

Mothkit can also be part of the play-fight. He's supposed to become a pretty serious cat so I guess this can influence that as well idk

Not sure where this plot is headed because it cuts off, but I would just like to let you know that even if you set it up like this with her wanting to be a medicine cat, it will not guarantee her a position since medicine cats are voted in by the site. Just thought I would throw this out there. :)

^^I never intended for her to become a medicine cat. She will want to become one in the future, but since I specifically placed her in a Clan that already has a medicine cat apprentice, it wouldn't be possible.

The main conflict I want to present in the future is that she's warrior (or apprentice, if I make the plot progress earlier), who believes in not fighting and is really stubborn about it. Chances are, she's gonna end up fatally injuring somecat by accident and going through a cognitive dissonance of some sort.
