"I'm sure you had no ill intentions, Lionpaw, but trespassing on another clan's territory without permission is strictly forbidden. You didn't know. This whole instance will serve as a learning experience." The deputy listened to the former tribe cat stumble over his words. Rippedsky had watched the young cat and knew him well enough to understand that none of this was his fault. There would be no need to damn him to extra duties for the next few months. Lionpaw had not done anything intentionally wrong. However, there was one cat that was to blame for this instance. He whirled around to face Dandeliondapple with a growl already rising in his throat, "You, on the otherpaw, have deliberately gone off on your own." For so much of his life, he had not been in tough situations that caused the anger to rise up in his chest. Becoming a father and deputy had changed that.
As his daughter spoke, he gritted his teeth to avoid from snapping at her. The young warrior's words were filled with an immense stupidity. He could not believe that this was her reasoning for crossing the border and starting a fight with their current allies. Skyclan had helped Thunderclan to endure the damage to their territory. If anything, they respected Skyclan more than the other clans right now. Thunderclan had thrived despite the circumstances they face with the help of the other clan. In no means did he believe they owed a huge debt to Skyclan, but he did assume they were at least on good terms. Dandeliondapple's actions could have helped to destroy that. After a deep breath, he spoke with a tightly contained anger through a still clenched jaw, "They. are. our. allies. If any clan does not respect Skyclan, it is Windclan, but never Thunderclan. Your actions could have broken off our relationship with the other clan. For the next moon, you will sleep in the apprentices den and take over care for the elders. I am sure the younger cats will appreciate some time off and maybe the elders can teach you a thing or two about being sensible."
