Jaybird and Bluesky's Leader ceremony: Journey to the Highstones

Jaybird padded to the Fourtrees, and waited for the new Riverclan leader. He didn't know who it was yet, so he stared at the Riverclan side.

Bluesky padded through the reeds. Her head hung low in deep thought. Who would the ShadowClan leader be? Tigerclaw? Midnightpelt? Her eyes lit up when she entered the clearing to see Jaybird sitting alone.

Jaybird's ears perked as he saw Bluesky. "Greetings." he purred.

"Greetings." She smiled. "So shall we set off? Did Moonpaw give you traveling herbs? Foul things.." She licked her lips with a scowl.

Jaybird nodded and curled his lip. "Yes. Lets go." he meowed. He then started to pad out of the Fourtrees.

They padded through the moorlands, up and down hills, through the tall grass. The wind gusted around dust. "I wonder who the WindClan leader will be. Swiftshadow?" She mewed to Jaybird.

Jaybird nodded thoughtfully. "Maybe." he answered. "And the Thunderclan leader might be Goldenfeather."

"Those would be the wise choises, saying that Rainfall is going to hav kits. A leader wouldn't have kits." They walked up another hill, past the abandoned barn.

Jaybird nodded and glanced at the Abandoned Barn smiling. He looked up the road ahead to see the faint outline of the Highrocks.

Bluesky knew why Jaybird was smiling, but kept quiet. A thunderpath was infront of them, and they would have to cross. Bluesky looked both ways to see that it was clear. "GO!" She bolted across.

Jaybird followed her and skidded onto the other side."That was easier than expected." he meowed.

"Yes, but I always get nervous around them. That, that smell and the noise." She stopped at the bottom of Highstones. "There it is.." She mewed. "Mothermouth."

Jaybird smiled. "I hope you can see as well as I can in the dark." he meowed,and padded in.

Bluesky followed in after him, whiskers scratching against the walls.

jaybird brushed his tail against the wall until he saw the shimmering of the Moonstone. He cautiously sat down next to it.
